PROFIBUS-PA has been
developed especially for
process engineering (process
automation) to connect sensors
and actuators - even in
hazardous areas with risk of
explosion - with one common
bus cable (data communication
and power supply of devices).
PROFIBUS® PA is standardized
in EN 50170 like PROFIBUS® DP
and PROFIBUS® FMS.

Transmission technology in
accordance with international
standard IEC 1158-2.
Bitrate = 31.25 kBit/s.
Characteristic impedance at
31.25 kHz = 100 Ohm ±20% (at
31,25 kHz).
Maximum segment length
depends on several factors
(e.g. supply voltage, current
demand). Please see assembly
guide of system manufacturer.
