T104D/C - Computerized Boiling Heat Transfer Apparatus
- Code 957511
T104D – Heat Transfer Apparatus with oscilloscope (optional - code 953037)
1. General
The Computerized Boiling Heat Transfer Apparatus T104D/C (code 957511) has been designed to perform experiments
concerning heat transfer due to convection in a boiling liquid (water).
The computerized version unit allows, thanks to the electronic transducers and suitable software, to display on personal
computer and/or print the tables of results and diagrams of the various experiments.
The unit consists of a vessel containing a quantity of water continuously stirred and heated by a nickel filament. Since this
wire is a leg of an alternate current bridge, the temperature can be measured very accurately.
The second leg of the bridge is used to balance the nickel wire and is immersed in a cooling vessel filled with water.
The unit is supplied with manuals that describe each component of the system, installation and utilization procedures, and
gives many exercises.

Double trace oscilloscope – optional code 953037
In the Computerized Boiling Heat Transfer Apparatus, a pure nickel wire is used as a sample element, which is electrically
heated, and an alternate current bridge to measure the temperature.
A water-cooled constantan resistance is used as a reference value, while an oscilloscope ensures its balance.
The apparatus includes an auxiliary heater to raise the water temperature up to the boiling point and to keep it constant.
