Shop packets are maintained and issued by Production Planning and Kanban cards are maintianed by Manufacturing Systems. In assembly areas, part numbers identify components. Part numbers and/or part description identifies subassemblies. Subassemblies can also be identified with additional product specific information for example, model, gas type, and voltage and/or serial number. This can be identified on individual parts in writing, tags or any other appropriate means. Raw Material traceability is defined in the PED Material Traceability Procedure.
