Alternatively, if you prefer, refer to Attachment A of this guideline. 2 GETTING STARTED The supplier must have a Purchase Order number or a RAN number before starting these procedures. In case there is no such number, please, contact the Requester first. 2.1 Mandatory documents for shipping to Autoliv Brazil - Commercial Invoice This document shows all the details of the transaction that has been negotiated between both seller and buyer, includes the commercial information. There is an example further on this guideline (page 7). - Packing list / Shipping List / Shipping Memo / Delivery Note This document shows all the details of the cargo itself and how it has been packed for international shipping. There is an example further on this guideline (page 10). - Dangerous Goods Declaration1 This document shows all the details for dangerous goods shipments, such as Explosives or Chemicals, and it is used by the international forwarder in order to comply with international shipping rules. After sending these documents by e-mail to the Requester, you will receive a pick up approval from the Planning Department, which is done by e-mail as well. Page 3 of 12 How to ship to Autoliv Brazil Trade Department will send the Shipping Green Light to the freight forwarder and the shipment will start. All approved documents must be sent along with the cargo on their original version, which is identified by a blue ink signature handwritten by one of the exporter’s representative. This step is extremely important, since the Brazilian government does not accept any digitally signed documents for clearing international cargos. All paperwork must be written in English, Spanish or French. Autoliv Brazil prefers all paperwork to be done in English. 2.2 Dangerous Goods Important Information All dangerous goods must have an Import License approved by the Brazilian Army before it leaves the country of origin. This is an extremely important rule that must be followed by every exporter. Autoliv Brazil expects and trusts that all the exporters will have very accurate and coherent information on the paperwork, which includes the net weight and the gross weight. Every exporter who ships dangerous goods to Autoliv Brazil must be sure that every production or sample item has the most accurate net and gross weight for every and all shipments. Otherwise, Autoliv Brazil will face serious consequences with the government that will financially and legally affect the company. The exporter must be aware that all inaccurate information will be handled seriously and roughly by a high managerial level at Autoliv Brazil, considering financial penalties for the exporter that does not comply with these rules in a seriously manner. Thus, we count on your help to make sure that all future deliveries include the necessary information on the Commercial Invoice and on the Packing List. Note that this is being treated according to our legal requirements and customs clearance policies, and to avoid customs problems in Brazil or extra costs, we must attend all the legal procedures listed on this guideline. Failure to comply with the instructions here described will result in supplier chargeback of all costs, including airfreight, storage, demurrage, broker fees, local fees and governmental penalties. 5.1 Paperwork Fines If no improvements are seen in the next 30 days, counting from March 15th 2015, Autoliv do Brasil will charge a fine of USD 100 per paperwork and will also charge back extra cost related to the penalties we might have caused by wrong or missing information.
