2 GETTING STARTED
The supplier must have a Purchase Order number or a RAN number before starting these
procedures. In case there is no such number, please, contact the Requester first.

This document shows all the details of the transaction that has been negotiated
between both seller and buyer, includes the commercial information. There is an example

for international shipping. There is an example further on this guideline (page 10).
-

This document shows all the details for dangerous goods shipments, such as
Explosives or Chemicals, and it is used by the international forwarder in order to comply
with international shipping rules.
After sending these documents by e-mail to the Requester, you will receive a pick up
approval from the Planning Department, which is done by e-mail as well. After that, the Foreign

Trade Department will send the Shipping Green Light to the freight forwarder and the shipment
will start.
All approved documents must be sent along with the cargo on their original version, which
is identified by a blue ink signature handwritten by one of the exporter’s representative. This step
is extremely important, since the Brazilian government does not accept any digitally signed
documents for clearing international cargos.
All paperwork must be written in English, Spanish or French. Autoliv Brazil prefers all
paperwork to be done in English.
2.2 Dangerous Goods Important Information
All dangerous goods must have an Import License approved by the Brazilian Army before
it leaves the country of origin. This is an extremely important rule that must be followed by every
exporter.
Autoliv Brazil expects and trusts that all the exporters will have very accurate and coherent
information on the paperwork, which includes the net weight and the gross weight.
Every exporter who ships dangerous goods to Autoliv Brazil must be sure that every
production or sample item has the most accurate net and gross weight for every and all shipments.
Otherwise, Autoliv Brazil will face serious consequences with the government that will financially
and legally affect the company.
The exporter must be aware that all inaccurate information will be handled seriously and
roughly by a high managerial level at Autoliv Brazil, considering financial penalties for the exporter
that does not comply with these rules in a seriously manner.
