From 1999 – 2008, I taught on the Grandview Campus of YVCC, where I also
directed the campus Writing Center. I transferred to the Yakima campus
beginning Fall 2008. Courses I regularly teach include developmental and
freshman composition (ENGL 090T, 095, 101, and 102), ALP (developmental
reading/writing), and research paper (ENGL 203), and I have taught these
courses face-to-face, hybrid, and online. On occasion, I teach a literature course
(e.g., Latin American Literature, American Literature, Intro. to Novels) or public
speaking (CMST 220). I have also taught a range of learning communities and
have experience teaching “Critical Thinking.”

Taught language arts courses for freshman and sophomores, American
Literature, Advanced Placement English, and public speaking and debate.
Utilized writing portfolios and developed and published Hypercard stacks and

105 with computers, training, and other technology for the classroom.
