NEWS FLASH A PROUD MOMENT AS ADM EQUIPS ITS GENERAL ASSISTANTS WITH NEEDED SKILLS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR ADM ADM Headquarters – 01 September 2016 Produced By: By Siphelele Manona AS a Water Services Authority, Amathole District Municipality [ADM] saw as a need to have skilled plumbers who will be able to perform water related plumbing functions in all areas which fall within its jurisdiction. It is for this reason that ADM's Corporate Services Department initiated plumbing training to boost the it's employees' skill level in this area and on 23 August 2016, celebrated the successful completion of the training. "ADM identified Border Training Centre to execute the [skills training] plan that we are having. As an employer of choice, ADM aim has been to drive its general workers towards fulfilling their work skill dreams” - Corporate Services General Manager Phumzile Billie Thanking the various stakeholders who partnered with ADM, Billie said the opportunity to afford the employees the plumbing skills training was made possible using a Discretion Grant Funding awarded by the Local Government SETA [LGSETA] as well as partnership with the Border Training Centre. The grant benefitted 100 general assistants from all six local municipalities under the ADM jurisdiction to participate in the training. It was a proud and delightful moment for the employees. "Thank you ADM for remembering the ground employees and the chance to equip us with knowledge and skills so that we can be valued employees that can make change in our communities"-said one employee.
