Spectra® RMS Circuit Breakers
™
with microEntelliGuard Trip Units
Enhanced performance for SG600 and SK1200
molded case circuit breakers
Spectra SG600 and SK1200 molded case circuit breakers
now feature microEntelliGuard trip units, which bring
improved system protection, coordination, selectivity,
performance and diagnostics.
Advanced interface and capabilities
Based on the EntelliGuard TU trip unit platform, microEntelliGuard delivers the same HMI
interface, advanced features and protective functions, including enhanced time-current curve
shaping capability, ground fault alarm, direct Modbus communications, reduced energy letthrough setting, zone selective interlock, neutral protection, waveform capture and
programmable output contacts.
Common accessories and backwards compatibility
The microEntelliGuard trip unit utilizes the same power management accessories offered for
the Spectra MicroVersaTrip trip unit, and adds a new advanced junction box, interconnect
cable and terminal boards. The footprint and interrupt ratings of the breakers are
unchanged, and they are backwards compatible with existing equipment and installations.
The microEntelliGuard trip unit uses the same universal rating plugs and test kit as the
EntelliGuard TU trip unit.

microEntelliGuard Trip Units
put you in control of your system
You get the flexibility to create the curve shape that
best suits your system’s need – not a one-size-fits-allsolution. Standard Long Time characteristics exactly
mimic the curve of a thermal magnetic circuit breaker
and closely match our new line of global Record Plus®
molded case circuit breakers. Optional fuse-like
Long Time and Ground Fault curves allow optimum
selectivity in systems that employ both fused and
circuit breaker devices, providing selectivity and
protection simultaneously.
You gain the ability to adjust to exactly what your
system needs. A wide range of continuous adjustment
Long Time delays ensure the circuit breaker can be
exactly dialed in to your selectivity and protection needs.
You can sustain load and protect optimally all the
time. Twelve Short Time bands allow you to set your
circuit breaker to sustain load requirements without
slowing your protection more than you absolutely must.

Flexible curve shaping adapts to every need. Multiple
Short Time diagonal bands tune your protection to
exactly where it needs to be.
You get selectivity and instantaneous clearing at the
same time.1 The Zone Selective Interlocking system
simultaneously provides short time, ground fault and
instantaneous selectivity.
ZSI
Current metering is standard, and optional power,
energy and reactive power metering and waveform
capture are available.
Flexible serial communications via Modbus RTU
makes programming easy for any power or building
management system.
ZSI
microEntelliGuard integrates directly into GE’s
EnerVista® Power Management System.
Restrained
Flexible programmable output contacts are useful for
such various needs as load shedding, ground fault
alarm, trip indication and many others.
A large, easy-to-see, backlit LCD screen makes it
easier to set up the trip unit in such environments as
a darkened electrical room.
1Instantaneous ZSI is available only as an output signal on
Spectra microEntelliGuard trip units
Unrestrained
Advanced ZSI allows Instantaneous ZSI to withstand ratings
Greater system coordination, enhanced protection and uptime
