Unless other arrangements are agreed upon by LASD Bidder will perform a 4 hour full building load generator test upon completion of electrical maintenance. SWITCH GEAR MAINTENACE, INSPECTION AND REPAIR Bidder shall include the following preventative maintenance tasks as follows: Cleaning of switch enclosures and removal of all dust. Inspection and replacement of main switch contacts if required. Inspection and Testing of all control circuits and devices for proper function and repair all deficiencies found. Perform Megohm testing of line/load conductors and repair, re-terminate motor primary leads if necessary. Verify and adjust trip settings per original coordination study and manufacturers specifications. Generate and provide complete testing reports as required. Visual inspection for signs of potential discharge or corona that may lead to premature failure. Inspect anchoring and alignment of cells and cubicles. Perform visual and mechanical inspection of instrument transformers. Inspect all control power control transformers for physical damage, cracked insulation, broken leads and tightness of connections, defective wiring, and overall general condition. Perform visual inspection of all wiring and connections for the following: Tracking, Overheating Insulation deterioration, Arcing, Corona. Verify correct and continuous equipment grounding from cubicle to cubicle with correct connections to building or earth grounding electrode conductor. Visual inspection of any metering or differential C.T’s that exists in the connection cubicle. Verify correct polarity and orientation. Inspect heater strips and related controls. (if present) Check all P.T fuses and fuse holders for signs of excessive heat. Ensure fuses are tightly seated. Inspect and clean all Neutral Grounding Resistors (NGR). Inspect all C.T connections, polarity and anchoring. Ensure the NGR are properly bonded to an earth ground. BIDDER REQUIREMENTS: Bidder shall supply all labor and material required to complete requested scope of work. Bidder shall hold a full member of National Electrical Testing Association (NETA). The installation shall conform to all applicable industrial safety standards. All work shall be performed in accordance with accepted general industry and/or best practices and comply with any local and national building codes, rules and regulations set forth by government agencies and regulatory authorities. Bidder shall be responsible to repair any damages to County property or equipment that occur during the course of Bidder’s work without additional cost to the County Bidder shall arrange and coordinate with County for placement of equipment at site and shall be responsible for disposal of any and all removed or generated construction or repair related debris. Bidder shall be responsible to lock out/tag out affected equipment and isolate all sources of energy including electrical, mechanical or stored and render equipment safe for intended work. Bidder shall adhere to the following standards regarding the completion of all related work.
