Purpose:
To identify connectors assembled by authorized Amphenol ® assembly locations.
Series Affected:
All Amphenol Interconnect products assembled within the Amphenol Aerospace Operations (AAO) and
Amphenol Industrial Operations (AIO) facilities.
Many Amphenol products were formerly known as Bendix ® products. These products are now manufactured and sold under the Amphenol ® brand name. The name “Amphenol” will replace the name “Bendix” on products in the future.
Connector product lines that were formerly part of Pyle-National have been consolidated into the Amphenol
Corporation. The name “Amphenol” or the name “Pyle” will appear on these products.
Some connector product lines that were formerly part of Matrix ® have been purchased and have been consolidated into the Amphenol Corporation. The name “Amphenol” or the name “Matrix” will appear on these products.
Mint Marks
There are many facilities which are authorized to assemble and supply Amphenol ® interconnect products in addition to the Amphenol Aerospace and Amphenol Industrial
Operations main facility in Sidney, New York. Each of these assembly facilities is assigned a specified symbol (mint mark) identifying the origin of the product they assemble.

The mint mark will be stamped directly ahead of the name
“Amphenol” or “Pyle” or “Matrix” on both plug and receptacle connectors.(see illustration at right and connector example photos below)
Connectors assembled by the Amphenol Sidney, NY facility can be identified by the absence of any mint mark symbol.*
