CHEMISTRY RESOURCES This list is divided into different sections although inevitably there is considerable overlap. For example, many of the core textbooks also contain much good material for some or all of the options. There are now a few books written especially for the IB and these are listed first. The ‘post-‐IB’ section is included for the more advanced student who out of interest may require or request a more in-‐depth treatment of the underlying theory. It may also be of use for extended essays. In addition to the following it is worth including extracts from newspapers, magazines etc. to supplement the material in the options. Television documentary programmes can also be a useful resource for classroom videos as can many Nova and British Open University Programmes. The Internet is also an extremely useful and rich source of resources. A list of resources quickly gets out of date and both the choice of what to include and the comments are of course very subjective. To overcome both of these difficulties it would be much appreciated if you would inform me or the IB directly if you have comments on the existing contents or have helpful suggestions for additions to the list. This list was compiled by Geoff Neuss, and updated and expanded by Nick Lee. IB – Specific books See Heath Books list -‐ www.ibbookshop.co.uk/catalog/downloads/IB_list_Chemistry.pdf Core / General G.
