solutions for every power need. Our fleet, the largest in Australia, consists of portable units and silenced
skid-mounted machines between 650 watts and 1400kVA. With multi Megawatt Power Stations it’s
possible to assemble up to 32 sets in one bank.
Remote control options are also available via Next G, SMS, wireless VPN and SCADA communication.

Confined spaces, shutdowns, maintenance projects, weddings, handyman, general construction,
backup and emergency lighting, parties and events.
Coates Hire stock a wide range of portable electric welders for construction, resource, industrial,
workshop or farm use. Variable duty cycle and current flows including up to a maximum of
600 amps. They can be used for a variety of welding techniques, including stick electrode, wire
feeders, Mig and Tig.
Wire feeder and remotes can be added to most machines.
Engine Driven Welders
Features and Benefits
Provides bright light using a standard triphosphor tube outputting 18 watts of power (two foot
unit) and 36 watts of power (four foot unit). Up to 70 units can be piggy-backed off one power
point. Models have a round, weighted base or heavy rubber foot, enabling them to reposition
themselves if knocked over.
Uplight specifications
Heavy-duty engine driven welders can be operated anywhere. They produce a wider range of
welding currents to suit specific electrodes. We have welder/generator units that provide 240V
single phase and three phase 415V auxillary power up to 18kVA which can be used to run small
motors, power tools, lighting and domestic appliances. They can be operated concurrently or
when the unit is not being used for welding.
