Columbia University Medical Center Short Term Accommodations are available for use by Guests of the Center. Guests include : • Part-time graduate degree candidates at Columbia University in an approved program of academic work, as determined by the School in which the student is enrolled. • Individual engaged in approved activities at the Columbia University Medical Center on a short term basis. • Verification of status is required with application. SHORT TERM ACCOMMODATIONS Building: Bard Hall, located at 50 Haven, on the Medical Center Campus, is an 11-story building that contains dormitory style rooms with community bathrooms, students lounges and boasts a terrace overlooking the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge. The building was designed in 1930 by James Gamble Rogers. Rogers-also known for his work on the Medical Center Harkness Tower and a quadrangle at Yale-designed Bard Hall in the art-deco style similar to the design of the original Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Accommodation Description: Single dormitory room on student corridor, dimensions-10’x13’,community shower and bathroom on each floor. All accommodations include a single bed and mattress, chest of drawers, bookcase, study desk and chair, lounge chair. Set of bed linens and towels provided. Length of Stay and Availability: Accommodations are offered on a per month(30 day) basis during the months of October 1 thru April 15th only. Monthly rate is $810.00. Each night thereafter is $40.00. Maximum length of stay is 3 months. Check-in M-F 8AM-5PM. All other times by special arrangement. Check-out 10:00AM. Services : • Each guest will be assigned a mailbox or the mail will be delivered daily to your room. Mail received after a guest has checked out will be returned to sender unless special arrangements have been made. • Laundry facilities are located on the 2nd floor of building. • Telephone service can be arranged through the University’s provider Verizon 212-304-2491. Telephones are provided. • Guests may use the Bard Athletic Center, the campus athletic facility. The BAC is located in Bard Hall.
