For Catholics around the world, Ash Wednesday marks the start of the
Season of Lent. It is a time of new beginnings. This year, Lent offers us a unique opportunity to invite people to seek healing and participate in the
Festival of Forgiveness. From noon on Friday, February 27, to noon on
February 28, the Sacrament of Penance will be celebrated at 24 locations for
24 hours. Parishes unable to stay open for 24 hours will be offering other opportunities as part of the Festival of Forgiveness.
