The teams have 20 year lease agreements, which include year-round use of their clubhouses, pitching mounds, batting cages and tunnels as well as observation towers. Each team also has exclusive yearround use of two Major League size practice fields, one agility field and two infields. During Spring Training season, which runs mid-February through the month of March, each team will have full use of all six full size practice fields. The rest of the year, the teams will have a yearround presence, using the facilities for player development and rehabilitation. 2009 marks the return of the Tribe to Arizona, with its move from Winter Haven, Florida. The Indians had previously trained in Arizona from 1947 to 1992. In 2010, the Cincinnati Reds will relocate their Spring Training operations from the team’s home in Sarasota, Florida. This is the team’s first move to the Cactus League, after more than 80 years of Spring Training in Florida. IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES...
