Course Grades: Course grades are determined at the end of the semester by computing the weighted percentage of all of the components listed above. Description of Graded Components: Homework: The homework will be mostly electronic and delivered through Mastering Physics, a web-based course management system provided through your textbook. A separate set of instructions will be given regarding the use of Mastering Physics. Occasionally I may issue paper homework or other assignments. All of these will be lumped under the Homework category. Quizzes: There will be four (4) quizzes administered during the semester. Tentative quiz dates are 1/26, 2/23, 3/30, and 4/20. Tests: There will be four (4) one hour tests administered during the semester. Tentative test dates are 2/9, 3/9, 4/6, and 4/30. Final Exam: The final exam will be administered from 10:00 – 12:00 am on Wednesday, May 6.
