Boarding Fees/Other Fees: 2016
• Pasture Boarding: $195 per month per horse
(a security deposit equal to one month’s board fee per horse)
• Pasture Boarding (4 or more horses): $170 per month per horse
(a $350 security deposit)
• Stall Boarding: small horse barn: $350 per month per horse
large horse barn: $400 per month per horse
(a security deposit equal to one month’s board fee per horse)
• Dry Lot Pasture Boarding: $200 per month per horse ($7 per day per horse)
• Daily Pasture Boarding rate: $7 per day per horse
• Daily Stall Boarding rate: $12 to $14 per day per horse
Fees not included in board amounts:
• for pasture horses, graining, medicines, supplements, blanketing (all owner supplies):
$60 per month per horse if stables feeds and/or administers
• for pasture horses, graining, supplements (stable supplies): $120 per month per horse
if stables feeds and/or administers, additional charge for special feed/supplements
• if a pasture horse founders, is injured, becomes sick and requires stalling, the daily fee
for stalling is $20 to $25 per day - medical supplies charged per cost of item
• for stalled horses, the boarding agreement allows for 10 bags of shavings per month afterwards, the boarder will be charged $7 per bag of shavings used
• for stalled horses, the price of special graining and supplements varies with the price
of the product
• bales of hay/shavings: square bales are $6 per bale and bags of shaving are $7 per bag
• emergency care: charged according the veterinary fees up to preauthorized amount
from owner
• transportation of horse: minimum $100 per horse per transport up to 100 miles
• holding fee for farrier: $10 per horse
Late Payment Fee:
• all boarding fees are to be paid by the 20th of each month
• after that period the boarder will be charged a $20 late fee per month for nonpayment
• in addition, each boarder will be charged interest of 1.5% on the unpaid amount per
month
• boarders with be charged $25 for insufficient checks
price of stall boarding:
• $350 to $400 per month
• month equals 30 days ——-> equals $12 to $13.50 per day
• bag shavings = $7.00
• employee = $15/hour ———> 1 hour per stall per day ——-> $15 per day = $105 per week =
$470/month
• employee = $12/hour ——-> 1 hour per stall per day ———> $12 per day = $84 per week =

• very good horse = 1 to 2 bags shavings per week = $7 to $14 per week = $32 to $64 per month
= $50 per month average
• very bad horse = 3 to 4 bags shavings per week = $21 to $28 per week = $96 to $128 per month

• stall boarders will be allowed 10 bags of shavings per month as part of their monthly board

• pasture horse which is injured and stalled: $10 per day which includes oats, hay, water and 2
