From the Video Menu select File > Record As > name file > click the record bumon. When finished recording click the red record dot to stop • The file appears a .dv. To convert it to .mp4 drop the file into MPEG StreamClip and select “export to MPEG4”. Adding Video to a PowerPoint PresentaHon from a File • Click the Insert tab on the Ribbon . • Click the Movie bumon. • Select the Movie that is already downloaded to your computer CreaHng a Video Clip Within PowerPoint 64 bit PowerPoint does not support QT (mov, .mp4) formats, suggested work around is to use WMVs. CreaHng a video clip: Click on the video and go to the Video Tools tab Right click on the video and you can trim the video, fade in or out and set playing op$ons Embedding Video to a PowerPoint PresentaHon If you want to show a video from YouTube, Hulu or another web site from within your presenta$on you need to embed the code into the slide From the Insert menu > Video > Video from Web Site On the web site, locate the video, and then locate and copy the Embed code Copy and paste the code into the Insert window (You cannot use the embed code to link to an online video using the 64-­‐bit version of PPT.) Embedding Video to a Power Point PresentaHon Note Most web sites that contain videos include an embed code, yet the loca$ons of embed codes will differ depending on each web site. And, some videos do not have an embed code, and therefore you cannot link to those. And, to be clear, even though they are called 'embed codes', you are actually linking to the video and not embedding it in your presenta$on.
