CPT 1A Capacitance Position Transmitter ● The CPT 1A contactless position transmitter operates on a capacitance principle and converts the angular position to a unified current signal of 4 ÷ 20 mA; ● The standard operating range of 120° may be simply changed to 60° to 120° range by means of a multiturn trimming potentiometer; ● Outstanding features include: high accuracy, small dimensions, long service life, and arbitrary operating position; ● Another advantage is the two-wire connection and continuous output signal; ● The CPT 1A may be used not only in actuating mechanisms, but also wherever angle sensing is needed with a low torque moment. The CPT 1A Capacitance Position Transmitter specifications . Turning the sensor spindle changes the capacity of the plate condenser which is converted to a current signal of 4 to 20 mA by the electronics located inside the transmitter. The standard working range of 120° may be adjusted via a multiturn trimming potentiometer from 60° to 120° at the output current signal of 4 to 20 mA. The other characteristic branch, 20 to 4 mA, may be used simply by rotating the transmitter spindle by 180°. The transmitter is supplied by a DC power source with voltage in the range of 18 ÷ 28 V without a voltage stabilization requirement at a resistance load of 500 Ω. The transmitter connection is made by two wires serving at the same time powering the electronics inside the transmitter and returning current signal, so that no other wires are necessary for the supply. Since the case is isolated from the electronics by galvanization, several transmitters may be connected to one power supply. The recommended power supply unit is delivered under the ZPT 01 designation. The standard CPT 1A position transmitter comes equipped with a UF 450 high-frequency filter to suppress interference incurred by radio stations and cellular phones in the 27; 450, and 900 MHz bands. The electronics include a current limiter and protection against reversal of polarity. The surface mounting technology provides high shock resistance. Transmitter is Supplied in the Following Versions . CPT 1A standard (working temperature –25°C to +60°C, temperature dependence 0.5% at 10° C) CPT 1AV option (working temperature –25°C to +60°C, temperature dependence 0.3% at 10° C) CPT 1AT for high temperatures (working temperature –25°C to +80°C, temperature dependence 0.5% at 10° C) CPT 1AF for low temperatures (working temperature –40°C to +40°C, temperature dependence 0.5 % at 10° C) CPT 1AM salt-fog resistant (working temperature –25°C to +60°C, temperature dependence 0.5 % at 10° C) CPT 1AG with higher seismic resistance (f = 1 ÷ 12.5 Hz, amplitude swing sa = 25 mm; f = 12.5 ÷ 50 Hz, acceleration a = 8 g; working temperature –25°C to +60°C, temperature dependence 0.5% at 10° C) This line of weather-proof and rugged CPT 1A capacitance position transmitters are also supplied in as a three-wire version with an output signal 0 ÷ 20 mA or 0 ÷ 5 mA. By agreement with the producer, some versions may also be combined. The CPT 1A capacitance position transmitters may also be equipped with supplementary adapters to replace older OV 100, ARIPOT, and INPOS transmitters without modification of the existing equipment. 36 20h7 3j6 + CPT 1A red (+) black (-) Rz = 500 Ω 4÷20 mA 6 3x2 25 47 + 18÷28 V 230 V/50 Hz - 14 40 CPT 1A Performance Data .
