The MAXI/4R NOTCH contains 4 “poles” of filtering to provide
additional rejection at the tuned frequency of the notch when
compared to our standard MAXI-POLE® Notches. The unit has
been designed for applications in UHF receiver front ends (nearby
transmitter carrier rejection) and/or transmitter back ends
(broadband noise rejection at the frequency of a nearby receiver).

The PSEL1001 is an extremely versatile HF Preselector; it contains
three MINI-POLE® filters covering the frequency ranges 1.5 to 4,
4 to 10 and 10 to 30 MHz. The internal switching network is
accomplished using PIN diodes; thus, switching speed is fast and
switching insertion loss is a low 0.6 dB. The PSEL1001 includes an
amplifier to overcome filter loss. For the HF Preselector, the product
of %BW x IL is typically equal to 20. This holds true across the entire
tuning range of any internal filter band.

Frequency Tuning Address
The PSEL1001 utilizes an 11 bit scheme for tunewords to digitally
control tuning of the center frequency for each of the filters bands
(1.5 to 4, 4 to 10 and 10 to 30 MHz ) within this preselector.
Strobe
Note(s):
1. S erial data is clocked in on the positive edge of CLK.
2. Maximum CLK speed is 2 MHz.
3. Refer to Switching Characteristics Sheet for timing.
The filter is tuned within 200 uSec for (1.5 to 4.0 MHz) and 100 uSec
(4.0 to 10 MHz) and 10 uSec (10 to 30 MHz) to the frequency
designated by the tuneword derived from the eleven bits clocked
in when the Strobe line is brought low. Once strobed, data existing
on the data lines is ignored until strobed again. Maximum strobe
rate is 170 Hz for frequencies below 10 MHz.
RF Power Handling Capability
The filters are designed to operate with RF input power levels
up to 1 Watt (+30 dBm) inband. Signals in the filter stop band
up to 5 Watts at the input will not cause damage to the filter.

The PSEL1002 is a pre/post-selector that is an agile filter for
operation from 30 MHz up to 2 GHz with a HF bypass mode.
It enables simultaneous operation of multiple transceivers in extreme
cosite environments. The pre/post-selector integrates numerous
filters, LNAs and central control to achieve low noise signals with
excellent selectivity for either transmit or receive applications.
The highly miniaturized design is manufactured, aligned and tested
using the latest state-of-the-art automatic technology.
