Shuttle Bus from Caselle Airport (bus stop is just in front of the arrival gate)
stops in Torino close to Porta Nuova Railway Station (corner C. Vittorio - V.
Sacchi), i.e between the Genova Hotel (Best Western) and the Bologna Hotel
(see detachable map in the middle of this programme).
This Bus from Caselle Airport to Torino (Porta Nuova) and vice-versa is
provided by SADEM http://www.sadem.it/orari_tariffe.htm.
When arriving in Torino, please pay attention not to leave the bus at Porta
Susa Railway Station. Your stop is the final one (Porta Nuova) – bus price is
5.00 €.
Trains from the Airport do not lead you to the Porta Nuova Railway Station !
TAXI can take between 20 and 40 minutes, price is around 40 - 50 €.
The link from Malpensa Airport (Milano) is very poor. Slightly better is the link
with Linate Airport in Milano.
Urban transport ticket is 0.90 € and is valid 70 minutes over the urban network,
buy it at the newspaper vendors.
> CONFERENCE SITE
Conference location is the CENTRO CONGRESSI UNIONE INDUSTRIALE,
via Fanti 17, Torino. http://www.amma.it/inglese/chisiamo/notizie.htm
> REGISTRATION
It is still possible to register at the Conference desk, starting at 8.00, on
th
Monday 25 ; extra tickets for the events can also be bought at the desk.
Information regarding the city and other facilities is available there.
> LUNCH & COFFEE BREAKS
Lunches are served in the garden, at 13.00.
Coffee breaks with pastries are served at 10.40 and 15.40.
> SOCIAL EVENTS
th
Monday, 25
The Gala dinner will be held at the NH Santo Stefano Hotel in the historical
Torino centre, very close to the Cathedral (where the Holy Shroud is
th
preserved), at 7.45 PM on Monday, 25 . The dinner will start with an aperitif
in the patio, with live Jazz music.
th
Tuesday, 26
An “extended” aperitif is organized inside the historical building “Mole
Antonelliana” (click on the picture of the DAMAS site) at 19.45 on Tuesday,
th
26 .
At around 21.00, four guided visits of the building and the inside Cinema
Museum will start; the sky elevator will bring you to the top of the tower for an
amazing view over Torino by night.
> CONFERENCE RULES
Two parallel sessions are given in very nearby rooms. Between them there is
the Piramide Exhibition room.
Power Point or Pdf format presentations will be copied to the DAMAS
organization PC at least two hours before presentation. Please contact the
organization personnel to test your own presentation.
Please respect strictly the 20 minute scheduled time for each paper.
Presentation should end after 15 minutes to encourage and allow questions
and remarks.
> POSTER SESSION
> INTERNET
The conference site is provided with Wi-fi technology. A password can be
given to the conference participants to use the service.
Some of the Hotels also provide free Internet up to 1 hour a day.
> ACCOMPANYING PERSONS
Please do not forget to buy tickets for the Gala Dinner (55 €) or the Mole
Antonelliana evening (35 €) for accompanying persons, at the front desk of the
conference. Places must be reserved in advance.
