Construction: Luminaire mounting frame is composed of 24 gauge galvanized
steel.
Housing: Fixture comes with butterfly brackets for commercial construction
configurations and optional hanger bars with integrated nail and C-channel
which are extendable to 26" for T-Grid and wood joist installations.
LED Systems: LED system uses the PrevaLED Core light engine. Life rating of
50,000 hours at L70. Luminaire efficacy up to 79LPW depending on lumen level
and CCT.
Electrical: Offered in 18-30 Watts depending on lumen package, the luminaire
is dimmable down to 1% and comes standard with built-in 0-10V protocol. The
luminaire utilizes a high-efficiency LED driver with universal power supplies for
120V-277Vac operation. The driver is UL8750 recognized in the US and Canada.
The power factor is >0.9 for maximum power utilization.

Product Features
The OSRAM RLD6 is a six-inch LED architectural downlight which boasts high
performance and is designed for new construction or major renovations. The
RLD6 provides an LED alternative for CFL, halogen and ceramic metal halide with
aesthetically pleasing light quality, glare free optics and a 46° cutoff angle creating
a near ‘silent’ ceiling. The RLD6 uses OSRAM OPTROTRONIC® universal power
supplies and is dimmable down to 1% providing energy savings for a variety of
applications, including commerical, office, healthcare and hospitality.
As an LED luminaire, the environmentally preferable RLD6 is RoHS compliant and
is designed to meet ENERGY STAR qualifications for utility incentives. The OSRAM
PrevaLED® Core light engine offers color consistency within a 3-step MacAdam
ellipse. It is highly efficient with typical efficacies of up to 79 lumens per watt, and
is available in light levels of 1200 or 2000 delivered lumens. The fixture ships
standard with 0-10V dimming interface and is available in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K,
and 4000K CCT packages.
Color Characteristics: CRI 85; CCT of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K or 4000K.
Color consistent to a 3-step MacAdam ellipse.
Optics: The RLD6 unique optical system is comprised of a highly reflective
upper reflector inside the mixing chamber that controls beam shaping and light
distribution. The lower reflector provides deep lamp-to-lamp and lamp image
cutoff of 46 degrees and an architectural aesthetic. This system combines to
create a highly efficient luminaire that produces low aperture brightness for
comfortable light and near ‘silent’ ceiling. The diffuser on the RLD6 is made of
prismatic acrylic.
Trim: Reflector is held in place with 2-torsion springs which holds the flange
snuggly to the ceiling surface.
Installation: Suitable for use in non-insulated ceiling applications only. Minimum
3" clearance from insulation required. Contains thermal protection in the fixture
in event of over-heating. Features optional installation of the channel bars along
the side flange of the plaster frame or within the butterfly bracket to facilitate
ease of fixture installation. Can be installed in T-bar ceilings using channel bars,
mounted to joists using channel bars or secured to a structural ceiling using
wires. Comes with adjustable mounting bracket; RLD features an integral driver
which is installed on junction box. Variety of cone trims sold as separate accessories. Available finish includes specular, semi-specular, white and diffuse.
Recommended ceiling cutout 6.5" (165mm).
Operating Temperature: 0°C – 40°C
Listings: IP54 rated (roomside). ENERGY STAR® certified. Suitable for damp locations when installed in an enclosed plenum. UL1598 and RoHS compliant.
