Amphenol have a wide range
of environmental rectangular
and cylindrical I/O connectors for PC Board attachment
(PC Tails with many lengths,
Compliant pin contacts, Flex
circuitry for jumper...). These connectors includes signal,
coax, twinax, triax and quadrax contacts. The shape of the
connector may be adapted to meet the board application
such as stand-off for cylindrical receptacles which allows a
state of the art mechanical board fixing on the receptacle
with screws, receptacle short skirt to minimize the space
needed in the box... Many different connector fittings are
available to make the installation on the panel easier when
space is an issue.
High Density Rectangular PCB
connectors in a 5 rows configuration. The contact technology confers a translation capability very suitable for thermal clamps

Micro D / Mil-c-83513
The Microminiature connector series
offers proven Mil Spec performance
and reliability in rectangular and
strip-line micro connectors up to 100
contacts.
Microminiature
connectors are available in rectangular D, strip and custom card
edge configurations, with contacts on .050 (1,27mm)
centers. Inserts in Micro D connectors with signal and coax as well as Plastic and Metal shells are
available. Terminations are available in a broad range
including solder cup, terminated to wire harness, vertical and
right angle PCB and many different mounting hardware and
backshells are offered.
Thermal Clamps
Mechanical  clamps which
lock and unlock in a quarter
turn for applying  a  pressure between the heatsink
of the Daughter Board and the cold wall of the box for the
dissipation of the board. No dynamometric tool required and
very safe design in vibrations versus screw type versions.
Several versions availble such as fixed into the box or directly
riveted on the Daughter board, from 40mm up to 300mm.
SMASH
Rectangular PCB connector (Surface Mount Rectangular  Amphenol
Socapex
Hi-density) respecting the SEM-E form factor (Line Replaceable Module). The metallic shell is equiped with Grounding/
Guiding pins, the contacts are screw-machined and sockets
integrate the Starclips technology, which confers high performance and cost-effectiveness. Very suitable for Harsh Environment including Schocks, Vibrations and High Temperature.
From 1 to 3 bays with 150 signal per bay (Chevron Grid), Differential Signal and Optical Termini are also available.
BRUSH technology = LRM
The connectors equipped with the high
performance B3 Bristle Brush Bunch®
contact technology offer a durability of
20,000 cycles of mating and unmating
with a low mating force. The B3 contact is
offered in Mil-C-55302 rectangular connector in 2, 3 and 4 row configurations up to 100 contacts per row.
The B3 contact technology is also available in LRM-Line Replaceable Module with an ESD protection with three density
levels : Chevron 300 contacts, Staggered 360 contacts and
Gen-X 472 contacts.
VME64X R
Amphenol developped the Ruggedized VME64X in response to the
military trend towards VME64X
and the utilization of COTS Boards
and Chassis. Ruggedized VME cards are existing but are
generally used with the standard VME COTS connector interface. In a harsh environment, the COTS VME connector
can fail, negating all of ruggedization on the cards. Main

Discrete Filters FX Series
Amphenol’s discrete feed-thru filters offer excellent low cost filter
solutions for military and aerospace
electronics applications, especially
where small size and high performance are important.They are
available in threaded bushing and
solder-mount styles with capacitance ranges from 10pF
to 600nF to meet the Mil-F-15733. Nevertheless, due to
Amphenol’s unique manufacturing process, higher capacitance values and greater voltage withstand capabilities are
achieved with the same industry standard package size.

The HiLinx offers to the user the
smart combination in the matrix
performances / density / modularity / cost. With the HiLinx Series,
the design-engineers have the full
solutions panel in terms of modularity by mixing all types of signals (Low Level, Power, Fiber

the full compatibility with the wellknown M55302 standard.
This system of stainless steel skirts, fittings, and stackable

With both the rectangular composite SIM and the cylindrical composite CTV, Amphenol provide the user with the right solution corresponding
to his need. Additionally to standard inserts, this series offer
grounded inserts for High speed contacts including quadrax,
FO termini, filtering capabilities, high density inserts ... Amphenol also offer a complete range of composite protection
caps and rear accessories.
SIM Rectangular, modular interconnect, standard design is a
combination of 2 or 4 individual
ground, shunt or standard modules. Compact custom panel
mounted designs available. SIM
is Environmentally sealed, differential pressure seal and EMI
shielded. Contacts are Mil C 39029 series rear removeable
crimp or PCB size 22 to 8 including coax , twinax , triax ,
quadrax, power, common with Mil DTL 38999 Series. Available in aluminum and composite versions with various backshells and clamps. High density modules for size 23 contacts

Breakaway connectors are mainly used for avionic and missile applications. The particularity
is in the plug mechanism as the receptacles
remain the same as the standard versions.
Breakaway plugs are available in different coupling mechanism
such as threaded (TV), bayonet (PT) and push-pull (PP39) coupling mechanism. Many contact arrangements are available according to the Mil-C-26482 and Mil-DTL-38999 standards that
include Coax, Twinax, Triax, Differential Twinax, Quadrax and Optical termini. The Mil-STD-1760 II (Mil-DTL-83538) defines a male/
male buffer between the missile and the aircraft. The missile
connector confers realignment as well as a back-off.
PP39 / SC39
Cylindrical Push-Pull connectors with same
dimensions and inserts as Mil-DTL-38999
connectors. Mechanical and Electrical performances meet or exceed the ones of Mil-DTL38999 Series III connectors, class W or F. 9
Shells sizes, up to 128 contacts, including power patterns, Coax,
Twinax, Triax, Differential Twinax, Quadrax and Optical termini.
Available in lanyard release configuration as well. SC39 Snatch
Releases versions also available from shell size 9 to 15.
Hermetic

Light weight subminiature cylindrical connectors with bayonet
coupling system. Very often used
when space is an issue due to the
very compact design of the shell,
the most compact of all the 38999 Series. JT & SJT Series
connectors are intermountable (same panel cut out) with MilC-26482. 9 Shells sizes, up to 128 contacts, including Coax,
Twinax,and Optical termini. SJT series connectors are scooproof for an optimal contacts protection.
MT / BTY / BTK / M83723 / EN2997 / ESC
Environmental miniature cylindrical
connectors available with bayonet
or threaded self-locking coupling
systems. Shell material include Aluminum and SS. Firewall and hernetic
versions can withstand temperatures to 260°C. Contact sizes from AWG20 to AWG12 and up
to AWG08 shielded. Can support currents of up to 230A.
Amphenol manufacture a large range of
hermetic connectors providing a high level
of sealing across an interface. Connectors
are supplied in standard MIL-C-26482, MILC-5015, MIL-DTL-38999 and MIL-DTL-83723
connector styles in steel or stainless steel
shells. Amphenol also supply hermetically sealed rectangular
connectors as well as a large range of custom design products,
such as hermetic connectors with additional crimp rear removable contacts for reparable harness applications. An example is
the fuel quantity indication system connectors which are capable
of being immersed in aviation fuel.
Grounded
The rectangular and cylindrical connectors
equiped with ground plane inserts allow a
state of the art grounding of all High-Speed
contacts to the connector shell and then to
the chassis of the equipment without hazardous cabling operation. This ground plane technology is now available in many
connector series such as : Mil-DTL-38999, ARINC 600, EN3545,
EN4165... for size 16, 12 and 8 High-Speed contacts. The new
Low Voltage Differential Signaling contacts - Differential Twinax
and Quadrax - have also their dedicated Ground Plane inserts.

precision bayonet coupling series ZMA. Complete cable assemblies are available with a wide range of test and matching
capabilities as well as unique or custom design connectors

SMA is an acronym for SubMiniature
version A and was developed in the
1960’s. It uses a threaded interface.
50 Ω SMA connectors are semi-precision, subminiature units that provide
excellent electrical performance from
DC to 18 GHz. These high-performance connectors are compact in size and mechanically have
outstanding durability. SMA connectors for semi-rigid coaxial
cables and the SMA Plug-to-Jack adapter offer a precise and
simple means of phase adjustment for microwave devices.
Built in accordance with MIL-C-39012 and CECC 22110/111,
SMA connectors can be mated with all connectors that meet
these spec mating diameters regardless of manufacturer.
The TNC stands for Threaded Neill
Concelman and is named after Amphenol engineer Carl Concelman.
Designed as a threaded version of
the BNC, the TNC series features
screw threads for mating. TNC are
miniature, threaded weatherproof units with a constant 50 O
impedance and they operate from 0 - 11 GHz..

Quadrax
Rugged circular and rectangular interconnect which can
be
fitted
directly
-without
particular tooling- with standard cordsets such as RJ45
Ethernet  (Cat.5e),  USB,
Firewire (IEEE1394), RJ11 and
the MTRJ and LC fiber optic
interfaces. Available in Mil-DTL-38999 series III, Mil-C-26482
low cost Cat. 6 RJFRB circular shells, or rectangular shells
such as SIM. Provides environmental protection : IP67, dust,
shocks and vibrations. Eliminates hazardous and costly
in-field assembly. Rugged Ethernet switches using RJ Field
connectors are also available in IP 30 and IP67 versions.
Amphenol Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) TIA/EIA-644,
Firewire IEEE 1394, and Fibre
Channel are examples of communication
protocols
which
use
differential signaling to provide
high speed data rates. The interface of these quadrax contacts is
not concentric in order to preserve
the highest performance in term of impedance. These size 8
contacts are kept in the right position in theirs cavities - can
not rotate - with a keying system. Quadrax are existing in
different matched impedance versions and are terminated to a
shielded double twisted pairs cable or to a PCB. These contacts
are compatible with many dedicated inserts in cylindrical and
rectangular housings (Mil-DTL-38999, ARINC 600, EN3545...)

AMPHELUX / ARINC 801
The Amphelux is the style fiber optical termini that complies with the ARINC 801
standard. The Amphelux is
the new generation of high
density (ceramic diameter
1,25mm), butt joint interconnect technology. The Amphelux can be fitted in dedicated
shells for Mil-DTL-38 999 series III (cylindrical) and ARINC 600
or EN 4165 (rectangular) connectors. Features : ceramic ferule and sleeve 1,25mm. Removable alignment sleeve holder
for easy cleaning, only one termini design for all connectors,
MM and SM (PC & APC). This becomes the new worldwide
standard for the avionic market segment and find other applications such as for battlefield communication.

Fiber Optic ceramic termini size
2,5mm for Multimode and Singlemode applications with High Return
Loss. These optical termini are fitted
in dedicated fiber optic inserts for a
high performance level (0,5dB typical per connection). Inserts available
in 2, 4 and 8 channels. These inserts
are compatible with the following
cylindrical connectors : Bayonet (LJTOP), Screw type (TVOP) and Rack
and Panel (RNJOP). This technology
has been chosen for harsh environment applications on major fighting aircraft programmes.

Fiber optic high speed transmission in a small, lightweight
connector designed for harsh
environments such as military
avionic, battlefield, navy... Singlechannel connector EN-3733 standard, utilizes fiber optic
butt joint technology. Contact termination : Multimode or singlemode. Threaded coupling with keyway polarization.
The Fibre Optic Active Plug is
an electro optical interface connector used in the harsh environment market, where secure
data transmission, offering a
high level of EMC and EMP protection comes as standard. By
specifying the Fibre Optic Active Plug, the user perceives the
interface between the equipment and fibre optic cable to be
a standard electrical connector. Amphenol offer the facility to
incorporate an electronic conversion module housed within
the receptacle or plug backshell, providing coupling directly to
the user’s signal interface for different protocols.

ARINC 600
The R39 rectangular connector provides high performance in the severe environment demands of military specifications. Its lower profile
translates into a smaller space-saving footprint and the new rectangular
orientation provides additional installation options. It delivers the same
reliable, familiar benefits found in Mil-DTL-38999 Series : Effortless installation, blind push pull mating, scoop-proofrecessed pin design... The
inserts offer combinations of Signal, Power, Coax, Twinax, Triax, Differential Twinax, Quadrax and Optical termini.
ARINC 600 connectors are recognised standard rack and panel
connector for embeeded applications. Compared to the ARINC404,
the ARINC 600 features lower mating force contacts, increased
contact count and a front release, floating keying system. Amphenol
ARINC 600 connectors offers signal, power, coaxial, PC Tails, wire
wrap, twinax, differential twinax and Quadrax contacts as well as different optical termini.
RNJ & RNJLP
SIM RACK AND PANEL CONNECTORS / EN4165
RNJ rack and panel connectors with realignment capability designed for
harsh environment in terms of sealing, shocks, vibrations and EMI-RFI
protection. RNJ connectors are designed to connect electrical devices
between a moving unit (rack) and a fixed unit (panel). The locking of the
mating pair(s) is ensured by the mechanical device of the rack. The RNJLP -the Low Profile version- of the RNJ is designed to match the panel
to panel dimensional specifications of Arinc 404 and Arinc 600 providing
a very compact rack & panel interconnect solution. RNJLP connectors
are available in jam nut and square flange shell configurations. Moreover, RNJLP connectors can withstand differential pressure per design,
key point for avionics applications. All Mil-DTL-38999 Series III and additional LPHD -size 23 contacts- insert patterns are available in RNJLP version, including Signal, Power, Coax, Twinax, Triax,
Differential Twinax, Quadrax and Optical termini through high performance dedicated inserts for
2,5mm ferules. Hermetically sealed versions available too.
Miniature, rectangular interconnect system serves as an alternate
to cylindrical connectors where space and modularity are critical.
The rack and panel versions are offered with guiding pins and
spring devices to ensure a perfect contact mating at the interface.
The versatility of the SIM connectors allows many different shapes for the rack depending on
the customer’s requirement. The contact offering includes Power, Coax, Twinax, Triax, Differential
Twinax, Quadrax as well as Optical termini..
FILTER SOLUTIONS
FILTERS CYLINDRICAL (MIL-DTL-38999,...)
Amphenol manufacture filtered connectors in cylindrical styles using
planar and tubular technology to provide EMI and EMP protection. Standard product is available in MIL-DTL-38999 and MIL-C-26482 connector
styles. Amphenol also offer a filter design solution for other cylindrical
connectors including MIL-DTL-83723, ESC10 and ESC11 styles. Filter
adapters are also available to enable filtering to be added to existing
interfaces without the need for redesign. For PCB versions, we also
provide header assemblies to protect the connector before soldering onto PC Board.
Filters Rectangular (Mil-C-24308, MicroD...)
Amphenol offer a large range of rectangular filter connectors such as Arinc
404, Arinc 600, Mil-C-24308 D-Sub and specific geometries to meet customers applications. These products are available in different filtering technologies : Planar arrays and Tubular capacitors. The filter types are available
in a wide range of capacitance and voltage values and may be selected in
virtually any combination within the connector insert (Pi, LRC, CLR, C, T).
