We work to ensure that all families with children prenatal
through 14 years old have access in their community to the
supports and services that are essential to their success.
We provide information on early education and care programs,
state-wide centralized waitlist for child care vouchers, school
readiness activities, Play & Learn groups, parent groups,
Kindergarten registration, family literacy programs, monthly
newsletters, adult literacy programs, and much more. Our
Early Childhood Center is located at Durfee High School, 360

These resources are available only to very low income and
elderly individuals.
People living in poverty often need assistance with emergency
situations and help with their own efforts to improve the
circumstances under which they live. Citizens for Citizens, Inc.
is an antipoverty social services agency, assisting over
42,000 households each year by providing short-term services
that support families during financial crisis situations through
its Fuel Assistance, Food Pantry, and Rental Assistance
programs.
Coordinates and builds on existing resources in an effort to
promote domestic peace and tranquility, optimum growth and
development of our children and secure and stable family
environments. Services: family advocacy, feed our families food
drives, peace by piece summit, foster care support task force,
community focus groups, community partnerships, and
building bridges bags filled with resource materials for families.

Offering information, support, technical assistance and
workshops for individuals, families and the professionals who
work with them.
The FACE program provides an array of services and supports
to help families of all abilities reach their goals.
ADOPTION SERVICES
Catholic Social Services is licensed by the state to place children
in adoptive homes. They offer counseling and housing. Fees are
based on a sliding scale.

Lifeline is an outpatient program, which offers the following services to the
Massachusetts residents whose lives have been disrupted by the misuse of
drugs. Methadone Treatment Services – Detoxification and maintenance
services are provided to people on a sliding scale fee and Medicaid.
Evaluation and Counseling – these two services are offered to people who
have 3rd party payments. Regular outpatient counseling on any kind of
substance abuse.

Healthy City Fall River is a collaboration between the Fall

a Healthier Community, Inc., the local Community Health

SENIOR PROGRAMS
The Foster Grandparent Program serves children throughout
Fall River who have special needs and at the same time
provides low income elderly with the opportunity to work with
these children and improve their income. Must be 55 or older
and meet income guidelines.
Allows approximately 300-400 seniors over the age of 55 to be
placed in worthwhile activities in public and private non-profit
agencies throughout our service area.
