Travel-Lite Tray Systems
Travel-Lite Tray System Features and Benefits:
Lightweight - The Travel-Lite tray systems are the lightest trays available for either small or large
housed camera systems. They are perfect for the traveling diver.
Tray Bases – Are manufactured from either lightweight aluminum, or a rigid, corrosion-resistant delrin
material. They have a recessed slot on the bottom to access the housings tripod socket for easy mounting.
Available in 8 different widths to accommodate most housings.
Grip Handles – BtS TL handles are made of delrin material. They are lightweight and maintenance free
and offered in 3 colors, yellow, black and pink. BtS rubber grips purposely soft with a sticky feel to them
for added grip with bare hands. Grip Handles are available as pairs or individually and also with, or
without a ball mount.
Arm Adapters - Are bolted to the top of the grip handles. They allow the bridge bar to be
connected to the grip handles. This is also were you would mount a ball mount adapter (BMA) or a Flex
Arm.
Risers - Are available in 5 different heights to accommodate several different housings. They also have
mounting points for use with our beach strap system #BTS11-15.
Bridge Bar - Connects the two risers together over the top of the housing forming a “roll cage” like tray
system, surrounding your camera housing. The bridge bar also serves as a mounting platform for addi
tional lighting and as a
carry handle. Comes pre-tapped with one 1/4-20 threaded hole in the middle,
two 3/8" slots on both sides and two 10-32 threaded holes for our cold shoe mount #CSM On the bottom
side of the bridge bar.
Modular System Our tray system is completely modular in design. You can add or subtract parts,
go larger or smaller by changing the tray base and bridge bar for width, or the risers for height.
You can use it with or without a bridge bar, with one handle or two handles.
Beach Strap System We offer a unique strap system that connects to our tray risers and then
to your BCD D-ring for use during surf entries Part 9#BTS11-15) available in yellow, black and pink.
Lanyards - Our tray bases are drilled for our custom made lanyards (#CL36SS) available in
yellow, black and pink.
Limited Lifetime Warranty - We stand behind our products at BtS with a limited lifetime
warranty to the original purchaser.

here in the USA.

Tray Bases: 5/16-18 handle attachment screws, 1or 2 depending on single or double handle, (2) 1/4-20 housing
connection screws with flat washers on the single handle trays (TBS7780TL) will also have (2) 12-24
Connection screws for Ikelite housings, (1) 5/32, (1) 3/16 Allen Wrench.
Arm adapters (2) 1/4-20x3/4 flat head screws.
Risers (8) 10-32x1/2" socket head allen screws.

This is a modular system using our existing 5 sizes of Risers and Bridge Bar and a
new adjustable Arm Adapter #AA200 only sold in this kit , and the last piece of
the system is our DSLR Handle Adapter that works for Sea&Sea, Aquatica, Nauticam and Nexus as well as others that we have not tried yet.
Sizing is simple, measure from center to center of the housing handles and form
the top of the handles to the highest point of the housing. Record both of the
dimensions and send them to us for sizing we will soon have a size chart worked
out but in the mean while send them to us with your name, dealer name, housing
make and model number to beneaththesurface1@verizon.net
We will then send you the correct part number for your housing.

Corrosion
Manufacturer does not warranty product to be corrosion proof. The aluminum used in the manufacturing of these products are
finish in a type 3 hard anodized finish which by its self will protect the aluminum parts from corrosion, but whenever you introduce a unlike metal to one another you will get a reaction in salt water. (I.E.) BtS tray components are connected with stainless
steel hardware, both the tray and the screws are corrosion resistant by themselves but when you put them together in salt water
you get a reaction, so the following is required to keep your tray free from corrosion and working great for years to come.
#1 Apply a small amount of silicone grease to threads of screw every time they are assembled. (DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN
ANY FASTENER).
#2 After use completely disassemble tray and soak in hot soapy water to help remove salt crystals and rinse thoroughly, let all
parts dry before storage.
#3 Some parts you cannot disassemble (I.E.) arms and strobe adapters. These parts with get a buildup of a white powdery corrosion around where the stainless steel rod is pressed into the aluminum ball or adapter this is NORMAL. Follow the same procedure as stated above except use a soft tooth brush to scrub around connection point rinsing with warm water in between
scrubbing.
#4 All stainless steel hardware can be brushed free of any white corrosion with a small brass or stainless steel brush available at
most hardware stores.
#5 O rings will last for years with good maintenance and storage techniques if however you need a replacement they are available from Beneath the Surface in bags of 10 please call to order in an emergency you could use a size #209 O ring available at
any hardware store.
#6 Nylon webbing soak and rinse well after every use let dry completely before storage. Inspect for abrasions and ware after
every use.
#7 Delrin components rinse in warm water and let completely dry before storage. Delrin is in the plastic family there is no need
to apply silicone grease to screw threads as it has no corrosion issues.
#8 Clamps remove the “T” handle by unscrewing it from the bolt being careful not to lose the nylon washer or the spring use
your ss brush to clean the treads of the bolt then apply a small amount of silicone grease and reassemble. Do this after every use
and this clamp will last a lifetime.
Limited Lifetime Warranty
Warranty
Beneath the Surface warrants this underwater camera tray or accessory components to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for the life of the product to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. If you discover a defect in a product
covered by this warranty, we will at our option replace the entire tray system or just the defective component.
Exclusions
This warranty covers defects in manufacturing discovered while using the product as intended by BtS. The warranty does not
cover loss of theft, nor does coverage extend to damage caused by misuse, abuse, unauthorized modifications, improper storage
conditions, corrosion of striped threads. This warranty does not cover parts that are subject to normal wear and tear replacement
requirement, such as O rings and nylon webbing.
Limits of Liability
Should the product(s) fail your sole recourse in replacement, as described in the preceding paragraphs. We will not be held
liable to you or any other party for any damages that result from the failure of this product. Damages excluded include, but not
limited to, lost profits, lost equipment, damages to other equipment, and incidental or consequential damages arising from the
use, or inability to use this product. In no event will Beneath the Surface be held liable for more than the amount of your purchase price, not to exceed the current list price of the product and excluding tax, shipping and handling charges.
