The TH104 is an A10 enhanced X-10 based product that retrofits to the light switch inside the hotel room door. The slot in the top accepts the room key card. Insertion of the card enables the room HVAC unit by transmitting an ON command over existing power wiring to a powerline carrier receiver controlling the power or thermostat of the HVAC unit.
When guests leave the room, they retrieve the room key card from the TH104 and 60 seconds
later the TH104 transmits an OFF command.
During unoccupied times (no room key card inserted) the TH104 automatically enables the HVAC system if the room temperature falls below 60 O F or exceeds 80 O F (+/- 3 degrees), utilizing an internal thermistor sensor.
Additional connections are provided for two external thermistor sensors to allow monitoring of multi-room suites. A standard Decora TM style wall switch and dual face plate are provided to replace the existing wall switch function.
