RULES
1.1 The Organizing Authority for this regatta is Birmingham Sailing Club.
1.2 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules
of Sailing 2013-2016. Measurement requirements do not apply.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
2.1 Applicants for all classes must be rising high school seniors or younger at
the start of the regatta.
2.2 Competitors are required to supply their own boats.
Classes:
International Optimist Dinghy: Red, Blue, White, and Green
(Green fleet will be coached by Van Rogers, BSC Jr. Coach)
Laser Class-Full, Radial, 4.7
Collegiate 420 (no spinnaker or trapeze)
Entry fees for each class:
$55.00-single hand includes racing fee
and meals for skippers
$80.00-double hand includes racing fee
and meals for skipper and crew
Additional meals: $25.00 for extra meal package (includes Saturday lunch &
dinner, Sunday breakfast & lunch), $10.00 for extra dinner, $5.00 for extra
lunch or breakfast
Deadline for Registration is August 17, 2016
Late fee of $10.00 will apply after the registration deadline

4. Sailing Instructions
The sailing instructions will be available at registration.
5. Scoring –
5.1 The Low-Point Scoring System, Appendix A2 of the RRS shall apply.
5.2 As many races as possible will be sailed. At least one race must be
completed to constitute a Series. If seven or more races are sailed, a boat’s
worst score will be discarded.
6. Lifejackets
6.1 All competitors shall wear, while on the water, a U.S. Coast Guard
approved PFD, except for brief periods while removing or adding clothing. 6.2
Each competitor shall have a whistle attached to their PFD at all times while
on the water.

Camping is encouraged at the Club. Please leave your pet at home. Hot
