SPECIAL NOTES: If you are a Commercial Radio, Cable or Television Broadcaster, TDGA reminds you
that the Political Windows for either Presidential Caucuses or Presidential Primary have expired. But some
States have second Political Window periods for some federal, state and local primaries. These 45-Day
Political Windows permit qualified Candidates to be extended the Lowest Unit Rates for Announcements
and/or paid political programs. This lowest rate only applies to Candidates and does not extend to
PACS or Super-PACS, Public Issues and or candidates for political party committee positions.
NOTE: Even though the Political Windows & LUC/LUR technically end on the day before Election Day- most stations extend the LUC
through the closing of the polls or caucuses on Election Day itself.
Political Windows Open from Prior Months as of September 1, 2016 includes:
• Delaware, New Hampshire, New York, and Rhode Island for Primaries on Sept. 13, 2016

Date Still To Be Announced: Annual FCC Regulatory Fees must be paid. Commercial Full-power and Class A
Television Stations, TV Translators, TV Boosters, and LPTV Stations; Commercial AM & FM Radio Stations, FM
Translators and FM Boosters must pay their Annual FCC Regulatory Fees by the date announced by the FCC in
September. As of our publication date of the TDGA Calendar that due date has not been announced.

Virgin Islands) Should a Runoff Election be needed, it will be held on Sunday, November 6th and would in such
circumstances and run concurrently with a 45-day period ending November 6th for Commercial Full-power and

Deadline for Reporting Any EAS Reporting System Errors submitted on “Form One” - All radio and TV stations that
participate in the EAS system were required to complete “Form One” on the FCC’s new EAS Test Reporting
System (ETRS) by August 26. They were then given until Sept. 26 to correct any errors, in advance of the next
nationwide EAS test on Sept. 28. “Form Two” must be filed within 24 hours of the test, and “Form Three,” asking for
more detailed reporting, including any test complications, must be completed within 45 days following the test.

instructions on how to use the ETRS, including screenshots of the new system, was issued in April and is
