High Temperature Triacs
With the introduction of the new 800 V T-Series family, ST is further strengthening its
leadership position in the market of low-power discrete Triacs. The new family exhibits
superior dynamic performances (noise immunity and turn-off capability) and an extended
temperature range up to 150 °C. Moreover, the breakdown capability has been raised up to
800 V. The new 800 V T-Series family perfectly meets demanding requirements of today’s
applications, enabling size and cost reduction of the heatsink and of the Triac itself. The
present portfolio is composed of 16 A devices, in three different gate-current capabilities

line high voltage converter
The device is an off-line converter with an 800 V rugged power section, a PWM control,
two levels of over-current protection, overvoltage and overload protections, hysteretic
thermal protection, soft-start and safe auto-restart after any fault condition removal.
Burst mode operation and device very low consumption help to meet the standby energy
saving regulations.
Advance frequency jittering reduces EMI filter cost. Brown-out function protects the switch
mode power supply when the rectified input voltage level is below the normal minimum
level specified for the system. The high voltage start-up circuit is embedded in the device.
The VIPer37 is able to address power levels up to 15 W (with VIN = 85-264 VAC) and up

Magnetometer
The LSM303DLM is a system-in-package featuring a 3D digital linear acceleration sensor
and a 3D digital magnetic sensor.
The various sensing elements are manufactured by using specialized micromachining processes, while the IC interfaces are realized using a CMOS technology that allows the design
of a dedicated circuit which is trimmed to better match the sensing element characteristics.
The LSM303DLM includes an I²C serial bus interface that supports standard mode
(100 kHz) and fast mode (400 kHz). The system can be configured to generate an interrupt
signal by inertial wakeup/free-fall events, as well as by the position of the device itself.
Thresholds and timing of interrupt generators are programmable on the fly by the end user.
Magnetic and accelerometer parts can be enabled or put into power-down mode separately.
The LSM303DLM is available in a plastic land grid array package (LGA), and is guaranteed
to operate over an extended temperature range from -40 to +85 °C.

IDC Contact for
WTB Applications
IDC stands for Insulation Displacement Connector. The IDC contact pierces the insulation

Complete GNSS receiver module with
extreme performance
Fastrax IT600 offers the best satellite availability as it is a true multi GNSS receiver that
supports simultaneously or separately GPS and Glonass and with software upgrade Galileo
and Compass once they are operational. In addition to GNSS systems it also supports QZSS
and all different SBAS systems. In order to increase position accuracy even more the IT600
has advanced support for dead reckoning including 1-axis analog gyro, 3-axis digital gyro,
odometer and DWP (Differential wheel pulse) from the vehicles CAN bus. Faster time
to first fix is achieved not only by the multi GNSS support, but also by different APGS
possibilities, either internally generated 5 days ephemeris or server generated AGPS requiring only 2kByte of data transmission.
The IT600 also offers an SDK with huge amount of processing capability for the users own
application, which can save cost significantly if smaller or no additional processor is required. It also offers versatile interfaces including 2 UART’s, 1 UART/USB, I2C, 1PPS and CAN
bus for DR.

ST’s innovative family of Dual Interface EEPROMs provides new features and capabilities.
The EEPROM memory bank can be accessed by any Microcontroller either by a low
power I²C interface or by any wireless ISO 15693 compatible Device RF interface operating
at 13.56 MHz. It also features an energy harvesting and RF status function. In addition, the
family features a 32-bit password protection mechanism.
Thanks to the ISO 15694 Standardization,
STMicroelectronics’ M24LRxxDual Interface EEPROMs are able to communicate
with new NFC compatible smart phones
or any industrial RFID reader. The energy
harvesting function utilizes the RF energy
from the RFID Reader typically to supply a
low power Microcontroller based application connected to a M24LR16E during
communication, without the need of any
further power supply.
