Two major fairs about European scholarships
in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
In the first weekend of October, the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam will
organise the ‘EU Scholarships Info Days’ in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Students who are
considering to pursue their higher education abroad will learn about studying and living in
Europe, attending information sessions with alumni talks and visiting information booths of
a large number of EU countries.
Europe offers an attractive variety of cultures, languages, and societies. Students can enjoy the
vibrant lifestyle of modern Europe, while experiencing its rich cultural heritage. European
universities offer high quality education and a wide range of study and research programmes and
these programmes are generally very affordable – particularly with a scholarship. There is wide
range of scholarship funds available for Vietnamese students to study in Europe, offered by EU
Members States. In addition, the EU itself has the ‘Erasmus Plus’ scholarship programme.
To promote studying in Europe among the Vietnamese audience, the EU Delegation will be
organising – in collaboration with a large number of EU Member States – two ‘EU Scholarships
Info Days’. The events will take place at the International Convention Centre in Hanoi, on Saturday
1 October (08h45-14h00), and at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Vietnam
National University in Ho Chi Minh City, on Sunday 2 October (13h00-18h00).
Each event will gather about hundreds students and young professionals, who can learn about
studying and living in Europe. Visitors of the fairs can discover that studying in one of the 28 EU
Member States is an attractive and unique experience, by listening to alumni experiences. Visitors
can also gather information about scholarship opportunities at the information booths of the EU
Delegation and a large number of EU Member State representations, including Slovenia, Sweden,
Germany, France, Poland, Denmark, UK, The Netherlands, Hungary, Spain, Belgium (WalloniaBrussels), Italy, Ireland and Finland.
Should you wish to visit the fairs: registration for the event is compulsory and free of charge. For
