The Garage and Small Engine Shop are the only shops who have had a managed laundered uniform program. 2) Some of the requests made are not typically standard Core catalog items in any uniform providers Core Rental Catalog. Would you consider substituting items or colors? Yes Examples: Shirt: Executive Shirt, Pink, 40/60 Polyester/Cotton, Pocket Mini Plaid Shirt: Mini Plaid Shirt Various Colors Custodial 3) For better availability would you consider going to a 65/35 poly/cotton blend on custodial pants? In particular for a women's fit. Example Example: Pants: Casual, 100% Cotton, Blue or Khaki (female pants to be female cut) Yes 4) Can you provide a style number for Men & Women? No style #, would consider any suggestions 5) For Custodial and Supervisors is it a must have to have a pocket on the moisture wicking Polo's? Also long sleeves is that a must have? Shirts: Males/ Females, Red Polo or Royal Blue Polo, moisture wicking technology, with Pocket, long and short sleeve Pockets yes, long sleeve optional for Custodial. 6) Executive Shirt? Do you have a style number? We have not seen a red or pink shirt? No style #, would consider any suggestions Electrical 7) In regards to Utilities & Electricians has the U of A done a full and complete safety and hazard analysis? What level of protection will they need? Electricians work under low voltage in which 100% cotton is enough protection. For more voltage they have fire protective suits. FR is offered as optional safety. 8) Does Utilities or Electricians fall under any specific OSHA Rules and has the U of A evaluated those? Yes 9) Why is the U of A requesting FR shirts but no FR pants? Suits are used when needed and pants are not required. 10) Why are you specking these Shirts? Are you willing to look at other fabric Options? Can you please specify the weight and blend required? FR Shirt: Excel FR Oz Shirt Nomex Shirt: Executive Nomex 111A4.5 Shirt (Brands) Arc rating ATPV 5.7 Arc rating 4.8 ATPV calories/cm2 There is not a requirement. FR 7oz 88/12 cotton/nylon 16) What would you like to see improved in regards to the current service you have? Current service has been acceptable. As with any service we expect, quality service, a valued business partnership, and timely service. 17) How are uniforms accounted for when delivered and picked up? Do you currently have a formal tracking system in place? Each shop has a representative reviewing and tracking with delivery person 18) What happens with your current vendor if you are shorted uniforms (or not all were brought back ) Current vendor is tracking and will replace what is shorted. 19) How are repairs handled? Repairs are picked up and returned the following week. 20) What is the U of A expectation when it comes to upgrading uniforms? Annual 21) What is the U of A expectation for delivery of new employee uniforms? These last 2 questions are critical when choosing garments. The more you stay in the core catalog the better availability of garments. 2 weeks 22) How does the U of A currently communicate with their current provider for new wearers, quit wearers, upgrades...? Is there any improvements the U of A would like to see in that arena? Same as #17 23) How does your current billing work? Are you seeing unexplained fluctuations on your bill? Is it electronic billing? Would you prefer electronic billing? Receive weekly invoices No electronic billing No unexplained fluctuations Would consider, each shop is billed separately 24) Will the U of A except a partial bid on the departments or items I know I can do very well staying within my core catalog? Prefer to have all under same agreement 25) “The vendor will supply a patch and attach to the uniform,” we did not get a photo copy, can you please provide the artwork? Patch is provided by Facilities Management to uniform company for attachment. End of Addendum, all else remains the same.
