The technology and con- Honeywell Cold Conditions FR protective clothing is outstanding for extreme cold weather conditions. Cold Conditions garments are suited for workers in the Oil and Gas industry, Mining, Utility, and a multitude of other environments requiring FR-rated garments. struction behind the protective properties begin with a 6.5oz. inherent FR fabric with a bi-laminate, polyurethane (PU) DWR coating. Workers are protected from the weather as well as from injury due to flash fire. The insulation properties of Cold Conditions FR feature a 9oz. quilted FR meta-aramid material, delivering an insulation rating of 1.16 Clo (Clo=0.155 m2K/W) and with a thermal resistivity of 29.85 (m.K/W). What is Clo? Keep in mind that people don’t get cold, they lose heat. Clo is a rating to determine the amount of insulation that allows a person, at rest, to maintain thermal equilibrium. Measurements of the resistance to dry heat loss provided by clothing can be used to determine the thermal comfort in cold to comfortable environments. Many factors affect how cold or warm a person feels, including individual metabolism during low and high physical activity. The Clo rating accounts for the thermal resistivity of a garment – meaning how resistant the garment is to thermal loss. As an example, a Clo value of 1 would be the insulating value of clothing needed to maintain a person in comfort, sitting at rest in a room 70° F (21° C) with air movement of 0.1 m/s and humidity less than 50%. The below is an example of clothing needed for comfort in the example above. These garments also meet NFPA 70E Arc-Flash HRC2 requirements. The retroreflective trim material meets ISEA/ANSI 107 and CSA Z96 Level 2 requirements for high-visibility. High quality, heavy duty hardware withstands long-term use. Jacket and hood feature drawstring adjustability for individual fit. Bib pants have adjustable buckles and elastic shoulder straps for optimal fit and comfort. Zippers on the pant legs allow for easy on and off – no need to remove boots. Features & Benefits • Inherent FR fabric ensures flame resistance performance for the life of the apparel; meaning the FR properties cannot be washed out • The DWR bi-laminate coating and quilted insulation retain body heat, providing outstanding warmth without bulk to allow easier body movement and increased comfort • Insulation rating of 1.16 CLO* and thermal resistivity of 29.85 (m.K/W) – helps workers feel comfortable when working in temperatures of -30°C (-22°F) to -35°C (-31°F) • Ergonomically designed so as not to impede workers’ movement for increased productivity and comfort • The combination of bright colored apparel and retroreflective bands ensures workers' conspicuousness for daytime use and in low-light environments, especially around moving vehicles and mobile equipment * Temperature ratings depend on the amount of heat generated by the body, type of under-garments worn, wind speed and relative humidity Cold Conditions FR TNV series TNV01LMG/O – Winter Parka • FR inherent, bright orange fabric with DWR film coating and FR thermal quilted lining • FR, silver retro-reflective, 2" trims with a distinctive X pattern on the back and 360° horizontal stripes at the waist and each arm • Three (3) front pockets • Elastic waistband and action back for better movement • Collar has 3 snaps for the optional hood (CW300LM/O) • Sizes Small to 4XL — tall sizes available TNV130LMG/O – Bib Pants • FR inherent, bright orange fabric with DWR film coating and FR thermal quilted lining • FR, silver retro-reflective, 2 inch trims around each leg • Three (3) front pockets and two (2) back pockets, with adjustable suspenders • Sizes Small to 4XL — tall sizes available CW300LM/O – Hood • Optional snap-on, FR treated insulated orange hood • Draw string closure • One size fits most U.S. Tel : 800.430.4110 Fax: 800.572.6346 Canada Tel: 888.212.7233 Fax: 888.667.8477 Honeywell Safety Products 900 Douglas Pike Smithfield, RI 02917 www.honeywellsafety.com HC.201 © 2014 Honeywell International Inc.
