E Series Enclosures are designed specifically for easy mounting and protection of telecommunications equipment, computer hardware, and other 19” EIA rack mount equipment, whether in a small “computer room” or a large scale data center.
With fully welded steel construction, the E Series frame is formed five times for additional strength.
Each rail is formed three times creating a channel which will not bend or warp when heavy equipment is mounted. Few enclosures in the industry are constructed from such a durable design.
The ability to facilitate air flow within the enclosure is a key attribute of the E Series. Field reversible mesh or mesh contour doors allow conditioned air in and exhaust air out of the enclosure. (The mesh contour door also accepts fan mounting.) Great Lakes offers three different fan tops to exhaust hot air from the top of the enclosure and fan trays (with varying amounts of CFM) which can be mounted in the bottom to circulate extra cold air in support of any rack mounted equipment.
Cable access provisions are integrated into the bottom of every enclosure frame and are available on removable top panels. These provisions allow data or power cables to be routed overhead or from a raised floor. Horseshoe knockouts in the removable top panels allow equipment to be added to the enclosure (or for the interchanging of top panels) without interfering with cable bundles.
In addition to cable access, the E Series features multiple cable management solutions. Vertical and horizontal tie down slots along the length of the rails create an integrated cable management system.
Optional lacing bar kits aid in routing cable up and down the enclosure, or from the front to the rear.
Great Lakes’ portfolio of accessories allows E Series Enclosures to be customized, based on application.
• Six different door handles are available, depending on the degree of security desired.
• Grounding studs and kits help ground enclosures to the facility; copper bus bars help ground
equipment mounted in the enclosure.
