Function
Thus it is possible to activate functions in the vehicle directly via CAN.
Through the OBD connection and free programming other functions are programmable.
Several vehicle CAN protocols are available on request.
Application Examples:
 Transfer of vehicle secondary functions (e.g. wheelchairs)
 Vehicle customizings, which data from the CAN-bus receive or activate functions via CAN
 Additional control points in vehicles (e.g. driving Schools)
 Vehicle customizings for construction equipment

Programming
A Freescale HCS12 processor with flash-technology is used, which can be programmed a number of times.
Two methods of functional programming:
2. Programming with a C-development system e.g.
Codewarrior.
Advantages of graphical programming with MRS Developers Studio
 There is no need for detailed knowledge of the microcontroller and a programming language. This system provides pure graphical ‘programming’ of
the controller.
 The acquisition and training costs are very small.
Preference:
With graphical programming the possibilities of bus communication are limited.
Advantages of programming with a C-development system
 Very complex as well as user specific functions can be realized.
Preference:
An extensive knowledge of C-programming, the HCS12 microprocessor and the
circuit is absolutely necessary.
Options
 communication
slot-expansion with radio module e.g. bluetooth to SCI to operate functions
wireless

Hardware
Supply:
Controller supply: 9 – 18 V
The module is protected against reverse polarity and electrical transients.
The module has a Quad-Highside-Driver and 6 potential free relay outputs.
The quiescent current is less than 1mA (Stand by).
The power consumption without load at the outputs approx 40mA.
Power-on:
The module can switched on with the ignition signal at KL15 or CAN-bus, then
it keeps itself through the MC/Power Signal.
Inputs:
The module has 20 analog inputs. These are 0 – 30 V inputs ans can be used
digitally to 30 V.
Outputs:
Quad Power-Highside-Driver (Type VNQ5050AK oder VNQ5050), overload and
short-circuit protected with a digital status load. The status can be used to detect an open load or overload condition.
At 80°C environment temperature each channel can supply up to 2,5A.
