Optimum design and HBT technology results in low phase-noise. The VCO’s performance is excellent over temperature and shock due to the oscillator’s monolithic structure. Backside via hole and gold metallization process makes very good thermal performance and high reliability. All RF signal traces should have 50 ohms. Sufficient filled via holes should be provided beneath the package for both RF ground and heat dissipation. RF chokes on power supply (Vcc) and tuning voltage (Vtune) should be determined according to each customer’s specific application.
