Drawer Specs:
Drawers Features:
• All drawers feature self closing and centering tracks with ball
bearing wheels.
• Drawers can be locked out in the full open position.

Door Features:
• All doors utilize removable, semi-concealed, stainless steel pivot hinges,
capable of supporting a minimum of 200 lbs.
• All doors are 3/4” thick, double wall construction, with all inner surfaces painted
prior to assembly.
• Inner and outer door panels are laminated with 5/8” thick acoustical honeycomb insulation.
• Doors swing open a full 180 degrees to allow full access to the clear opening of
the cabinet.
• Top mounted roller catch insures positive closure without requiring excessive
force to open.
• Common door sizes allow multiple configurations on many different cabinets.

resistant nylon rollers.
• All top hung sliding doors utilize convex nylon rollers operating in formed top hung track.
• Doors have flush pulls and close against mounted rubber bumpers.

Important Information Regarding Perchloric Acid Fume Hoods:
Work with Perchloric Acid in the laboratory presents a constant danger of explosion and many safety precautions must be
taken to insure the utmost safety for laboratory personnel. Proper care must be taken in the design of perchloric hoods to
maintain maximum safety. Fume hood interiors must be non-porous and inorganic, the most ideal material is type 316
stainless steel that is continuously welded without seams and formed coved corners. A wash-down system should be
incorporated for periodic cleaning of the hood. All baffles should be removable for access and cleaning. Duct work should be
short and straight to allow for visual inspection and should be provided with a wash down system for cleaning. A perchloric
hood is a single use piece of equipment and should not be used for any other purpose.

Construction
General:
1. All metal casework is of modern design and is constructed in accordance with the highest standards
and practices of the metal casework industry. Our superior quality is maintained by the use of special C.
N.C. machinery, tools, dies, fixtures and the labor of skilled workmanship. This precision manufacturing
technique insures minimal tolerances while achieving the proper clearances on all doors, drawers,
openings and other moving parts.
2. All cabinets are made from completely welded assembly shells. This allows each case to be rigid and
self-supporting to allow for interchangeability or free standing use.
3. All units shall be of flush front construction. At the intersection of vertical and horizontal case
members, such as end panels, top rails, bottoms and vertical posts, all parts shall be on the same plane,
without overlap, with welded exterior corners. Cracks and crevices will not be present. All door and
drawer fronts are in the same plane as the exterior case members. Hinged door cabinet shells shall be
rabbeted on all four sides and on the top and sides for sliding door cabinets so as to provide a dust
resistant case.
4. All units feature cleanable flush interiors. All posts, reinforcing members, or channel uprights shall be
enclosed the full height and width of the unit. The bottom is of pan construction with two ends and back
formed up for easy cleaning.
5. Floor mounted cabinets feature a toe space 4” high and 3” deep with full return, reinforcing bottom of
cabinet enclosing the toe space area. Base units have die formed and threaded gusset at each corner.
Height adjusting bolts are located at each corner. Adjusting bolts are 1/2” dia. and have a base flange
area of not less than 1” square inch to prevent damage to floor.
6. All cupboard units feature removable backs. Backs are of one piece construction with removable
knock-out panels. Removable panels are flush, formed in place for rigidity and prepared for ease of
removal and replacement. Sink cabinets utilize a lowered single piece formed back for utilities access.
Finish:
1. All finishes are reagent resistant catalytically activated polyurethane applied to chemically prepared
and cleaned steel surfaces.
2. Prior to application of colored finish, all metal surfaces are cleaned at elevated temperatures and
treated with a micro-crystalline zinc phosphate coating to insure superior adhesion and corrosion
resistance.
3. Treated parts are oven dried and gradually cooled before final finish is applied.
4. The final finish is a high grade, chemically resistant two-part catalytically activated polyurethane that is
oven baked to insure positive adhesion. See color card for available colors.
Shelves:
1. All removable shelves are adjustable in 1/2” increments. Shelves have four sides formed down 3/4”,
with an additional 3/4” return front and back. Shelves that are 48” and longer are provided with a full width
hat channel welded at mid span.

Construction
Drawers:
1. Drawers are available in a variety of heights and widths for efficient flexibility and storage capacities.
Drawers are located on cabinets as to provide maximum functional use.
2. Bodies are of one piece stainless steel construction including bottom, both sides, back and inner front.
They are fully coved at the bottom interior on all four sides for easy cleaning. All top edges are formed for
strength and designed to provide convenient hand holding position if drawer is removed. Fronts are of
double wall construction.
3. Drawer suspension is achieved by heavy duty formed drawer tracks. Tracks are round formed
raceways to allow self centering of drawer within the track. Drawers tracks utilize nylon tires wheels with
ball bearing rollers. Drawer runners and case channels are securely fastened to the drawer body and
case members.
4. Drawer shall lock open when in the full open position and have self closing tracks enabling them to roll
into the case when extended approximately 5” in the open position. Drawers are removable without the
use of tools. Drawer heads are insulated with foam insulation and feature rubber bumpers secured into
pre-punched holes for cushioned closing.
5. File drawers can be furnished with a spring loaded file follower when specified.
Doors:
1. Hinged doors are 3/4” thick, double wall construction insulated with 5/8” thick honey comb material, to
provide maximum rigidity and sound attenuation. All interior door surfaces are painted prior to assembly.
Doors close against rubber bumpers installed in pre-punched holes.
2. Sliding doors are of double pan construction. All sliding doors have convex nylon rollers operating in a
formed top hung track. Doors have flush pulls and close against mounted rubber bumpers.
3. Frameless glass sliding doors are nominal 1/4” thick sheet glass with applied pulls. Bottom edges of
doors slide in an extruded aluminum track on nylon rollers. Rubber bumper stops are provided for doors
in the fully open and fully closed position.
Table Frames:
1. Table aprons are formed into a 4 1/2” high channel shape. Any drawers furnished with apron are of
the same constructions and suspension as described above.
2. Leg assemblies are welded construction and attached to the table apron using frame bolts. Table legs
are cut from 2” square tubular steel and provided with recessed leveling bolt.
3. Knee space frames are 1-1/2” high furnished where indicated, where maximum knee space height is
desired and drawers are not required. Legs, when required, are welded to the frame.

Hardware:
1. Door and drawer pulls are made from chemically resistant ABS material that mount flush with the
surface. Color: black
2. Hinges are removable, heavy duty pivot type, formed from 11 ga. stainless steel with nylon bushing to
allow ease of movement. Assembled hinges are concealed within the door and cabinet stile with only the
pivot point exposed at the corner edge of the door. Hinges are capable of supporting a 200 pound load.
3. Door catches feature a spring actuated with a nylon roller that is self adjusting for controlled opening
and closing action.
4. Locks, where shown or specified, are of heavy duty type with 14 tumblers having a minimum of 7000
primary key changes within 240 master key groups and 30 grand master keys. Two keys are provided
with each lock keyed differently, and two keys for each master key group. The face of each lock is of
satin finish.
5. Label holders, where shown or specified, are sized to compliment the door and drawer pulls and are
black in color.
6. Shelf clips are of die formed steel, and zinc plated. Shelf clips fully engage in adjustment holes .

Conditions of Sale
Distribution:
Lab Crafters, Inc. sells and distributes its products via direct factory sales or through an authorized
representative. Please contact the home office regarding sales information or to find a representative
in your area.
Shipments:
All items of furniture and parts thereof are carefully inspected, packaged and delivered to the carrier in
good condition. All shipments are F.O.B. factory unless otherwise noted. We reserve the right to ship
via the most economical means of transportation. Specific routings can be made, when so instructed,
with the understanding that any increased cost will be borne by the purchaser.
Damage Claims:
Responsibility for making claims for damage lies with the purchaser on all shipments made F.O.B.
factory, freight allowed or F.O.B. points of shipment. On orders which are sold F.O.B. destination, we
will file for damages provided the purchaser forwards to us the original bill of lading noted by the
carrier’s agent acknowledging damage and the inspector’s report. Claims for damage must be
submitted within five days after receipt of material.
Installation and Assembly:
On site installation of furniture and equipment by qualified technicians is available at either a per diem
rate or an established contract price. Selected hoods are available knocked down for field assembly.
Utility Services and Accessories:
We do not furnish, as a standard part of illustrated furniture assemblies, such material as drain lines,
piping, shut-off valves, conduit wiring, exhaust ducts, external blowers, mounting platforms, or
switches unless specifically stated in the contract agreement. When these materials or fixtures are
provided it is with the understanding that all connections are to be completed by personnel other than
ours.

Conditions of Sale
Material and Construction:
We constantly strive to improve our products and manufacturing methods. Therefore, we must
reserve the privilege to make changes in design, construction, materials, and/or equipment
specifications without notification.
Taxes:
We do not include any sales tax or taxes of any kind levied by the Federal Government or by any
State, County, City or political subdivision thereof.
Cancellation:
Cancellation of orders can be made only upon the written consent of Lab Crafters, Inc. In the event of
cancellation, the purchaser is responsible for payment of all work completed and any costs incurred.
International Sales:
International orders will require a letter of credit or advance payment.
Terms Of Payment:
Payment is jointly severally and unconditionally guaranteed within 30 days of date of delivery. Any
charges unpaid after the above 30 days are to be increased by 1.5% per month. Any charges still
outstanding after 90 days from the date of delivery are subject to collection. All collection or arbitrary
expenses, attorney’s fees and court costs will be borne by the purchaser.
Progress Payments:
We reserve the right to require advance payment per predetermined schedule for any orders if
deemed necessary.
