General: The SEI two channel transcription preamplifier i s designed for use with magnetic reproducers in professional application
of recording, film studios, television and broadcast stations. It is a
high gain, low noise level preamplifier designed t o operate into a
600 ohm buss at -1-4 or + 8 DBM and equalized for magnetic reproducers. The power output capabilities are such that when operating a t a +4 d b m level, there i s more than a 12 db power reserve
for instantaneous peaks. (The harmonic distortion a t 1000 cps i s
less than 1 % at + I 8 dbm). Clipping starts at approximately +20
dbm.

Trimmer controls are provided for both low and high frequency

Rectifier.
The Equalizer requires an opening o f 7 inches in
inches clearance behind the front panel. The power supply can be
conveniently located within the limitation o f a 21/2 f o o t cable and
requires minimum mounting dimensions o f 3'/2 inches wide and 6
inches high by I I inches long. The "ON-OFF'' switch i s attached t o
the power supply plug with a cable 31/2 feet long and i s suitable for
mounting through a standard '/2 inch panel mounting hole.
