The lighting control system DALIeco is configured via the remote control MASTER
REMOTE. A function mode can be selected out of six predefined application settings can vbe
selected. These function modes show different control behaviour and apply different settings
(see manual DALIeco control). If necessary, the selected function mode can be modified
individually.
1. Configuration settings within programming mode
To configure important settings of the system (see 1.1 to 1.11), it has to be set into
programming “programing mode”.
To configure the system, first it must be set to.
For setting the system into Programming Mode the button
PROG has to be pressed, until the red LED in the ON/OFFbutton of the remote is blinking. The Lamps will also blink to
confirm.
Now the function mode can be selected and the desired
changes can be done by pressing the appropriate
button(s).
Finally Programming Mode is left by pressing PROG
button again. All changes are valid after the Programming
mode was terminated.
Hint:
If there is no button pressed for 60s, Programming Mode is left automatically.

1.1.
Switch Off Delay
If no persons are present, the light is switched off after this
time expired, respectively the light is changed to Stand-by
Level, if a Stand-by Level is configured.
1.2.
Stand-by level
If a Stand-by Level is configured, this level is establishe
after the Switch Off Delay time elapsed.
If Stand-by Level OFF is selected, the light is switched off
when the Switch Off Delay time elapsed.
With daylight dependent regulation Stand-by Level means
that the setpoint is reduced (e.g. to 30%), the regulation will
still be active.
Without regulation Stand-by Level means that the light is
dimmed to a fixed level, e.g. 30%.
1.3.
Stand-by time
If the Stand-by Level is established and no persons are
within the detection area the light will be switched of after
the Stand-by time expired.
, the light will remain at the
If this time is set to „infinite“
Stand-by Level and not switched off.
1.4.
Lightsensor
ON: Full-automatic light regulation (previous setpoint
storage necessary). At too much daylight the lamps are
switched off, at less daylight the lamps will switch on again
automatically.
Semi Auto: Half-automatic light regulation (previous
setpoint storage necessary). At too much daylight the
lamps switch off, at less daylight the lamps stay off.
(switch on has to be done via push button or remote
control)
OFF: No light regulation.
-2-
1.5.
Presence sensor
ON: Full-automatic presence detection. If presence is
detected, the light switches on automatically. After Switch
Off Delay – expired the light switches off, respectively dims
to Stand-by Level automatically, if a Stand-by Level is
configured.
Semi Auto: Half-automatic presence detection. The light
has tobe switched on manually using the external push
button or the remote control.
After Switch Off Delay – time expired the light switches off,
respectively dims to Stand-by Level automatically, if a
Stand-by Level is configured.
If Stand-by Level and Stand-by Time are configured,
during Stand-by Time the light dims to ON-level if
presence is detected.
OFF: No presence detection.
1.6.
Setpoint storage
To enable the daylight dependent regulation a setpoint must be stored. This brightness value
is kept constant during the day. There are to ways to store a setpoint, on the one hand an
automatic setting based at the light planning brightness level or a manual setting of an
individual brightness level
1.6.1. Auto setup
The setpoint is stored to 80% of the light output the luminaires can provide.
.
Within the Auto setup process, the light dims
to maximum light output for 3 minutes, until
the lamps have reached their operating
temperature and a stable light output. Then
80% dimming level is established and the
lamps are switched off briefly. Then they are
switched on again and blink to confirm. During
this Auto setup process is running the LEDs
at all connected sensors are blinking
alternating red/green.
-3-
1.6.2. Manual Setup
The light can be dimmed to the desired value using the
buttons CH-1 or CH-2. Both channels are dimming
synchronous.
If Manual Setup is pressed, the actual light level is stored
as a setpoint. The lamps are blinking to confirm. At all
connected sensors the LEDs are blinking alternating
red/green until the storage process has finished (5s).
Hints:
• Setpoint storage should be done with less daylight, if possible with closed blinds or in the
evening.
• Light regulation starts after setpoint storage, as soon as Programming Mode is left.
• If the function mode is changed, the stored setpoint is deleted.
• If the light sensor is disabled, Manual Setup can be used to store the switch-on level.
1.7.
Presence sensor test
With this function the detection area of the presence sensor(s) can be checked.
To start the test, button Test 1sec is pressed in Programming Mode and then
Programming Mode is left by pressing PROG.
Now each detected presence sets the light to maximum output. Without detected
presence after 1s the light is set to minimum output. The test is finished by
switching off the light using the external push button or the remote control (button
On/Off). If there is no presence detected for 60s the test is terminated
automatically.
Hint:
This testing function has no impact to the adjusted Switch Off Delay time.

1.8.
100h Burn-in
Fluorescent lamps should be “burned in” for 100 hours at maximum level before
they are dimmed for the first time.
To activate the burn in the button 100h Burn-in On/Off has to be pressed in
Programming Mode. The lamps are set to maximum output and at all connected
sensors the red LED is switched on.
For the next 100 hours every manual control of the system is locked.
To interrupt the Burn-in process the button 100h Burn-in On/Off has to be
pressed again within Programming Mode. Also an interruption of the lines
voltage will stop the Burn-in process.
Each time the Burn-in process is started again, the system will be locked for 100
hours again.
1.9.
Sensor Select
If more than one sensor is used, the settings for light sensor
and presence sensor can be changed individually for each
sensor. To select a sensor the button Sensor select is
pressed in Programming Mode for 3s. The selection is
displayed by orange blinking (red and green together) of the
Sensor select LED.
The selected sensor displays its actual settings with the following blinking sequence:
Orange = Sensor selected
Red = Presence sensor active
Green = Light sensor active
This sequence is always repeated.
With the buttons for light sensor and presence sensor the setting of the selected
sensor can be changed.
If the presence sensor is set to OFF, the red LED will stay off during the blinking
sequence described above. If the light sensor is set to OFF, the green LED will
stay off in the blinking sequence.
If both sensors are set to OFF, the LED of the selected sensor will only blink in
orange.
The settings Semi Auto is always valid for the whole system. All active sensors
will work in half-automatic mode in this case.
With short presses on Sensor select button of the remote, the next sensor can be selected.
Sensor selection is finished by pressing Sensor select again for 3s or by leaving
Programming Mode.
Hint:
If the function mode is changed, all sensors are set to their default configuration, depending
on the selected mode.

2. Configuration settings outside programming mode
The setting options described subsequently have to be done within normal operation, in other
words outside Programming Mode.
2.1.
Offset
During light regulation only Ch1 is regulated. Ch2 follows Ch1 with an adjustable Offset.
Ch2 is never darker, but always brighter or equal to Ch1. For the application this means that
Ch1 controls the luminaries close to the window (e.g. at the desk) while Ch2 controls the
luminaries further to the window (e.g. at the corridor).
The difference between the two channels is only visible during the day, if daylight is
available. Without daylight both channels are dimming to an equal level. During setpoint
storage both channels are on the same dimming level.
2.2.
Changing the Offset
If during light regulation with available daylight, the difference between the
both channels is too small or to big, it can be adjusted. For this the button
Offset On/Off has to pressed, Ch2 is blinks one time to indicate that the
offset may be adjusted now. The level of Ch2 can be changed using the
button CH-2. The possible dimming range is between the actual level of Ch1
(=no Offset) and the stored setpoint level.
If Offset On/Off is pressed again, the regulation starts using the new
Offset. The regulation starts also if no button is pressed for 30s.
Hint:
Changing the Offset is only possible during automatic daylight regulation. Therefore the
system must not be in Programming Mode!
3. Sensor button
Each sensor DALIeco LS/PD LI has an integrated push button, which can be pressed with a
small screwdriver.
3.1.
Disable / enable infrared receiver
A short push on the button disables the infrared receiver of this sensor. To confirm
deactivation the red LED is switched on for 3s.
If the button is pressed short again, the infrared receiver is enabled. To confirm reactivation
the red LED is blinking 3x.
Hint:
If the infrared receiver is disabled, the red LED is on for 3s if a command is sent with a
remote control. If the infrared receiver is enabled, the red LED is blinking 3x if a command is
sent.
3.2.
Starting Auto Setup
If the button is pressed for 10s, Auto Setup (see 1.6.1) is started.
By that it is possible to store a setpoint for the light regulation without a remote control.
