Introduction
CNAN is a state company that was founded in 1963, the company proven social and economic
efficiency in cargo business over the past couple of decades. With owning about fifty (50)
vessels, CNAN established an unavoidable maritime bridge over the waters for a worldwide
network which guarantee safe deliveries of all kind of goods to final destinations.
Since then it has suffered different waves of restructuration ending in 2005 by dividing the
Company into several independent entities, among which CNAN MED and CNAN NORD for the
major Liner Services in Mediterranean, Adriatic Sea, North and West Europe, and Americas.
In 2008, DARIO PERIOLI (founded in 1908 and is one of the oldest Italian shipping companies)
entered in the share capital of CNAN MED. It has acquired 49%. CNAN and DARIO PERIOLI
merge.
In 2013, a new strategic plan was drafted for the next five (5) years. It is designed for the
improvement and expansion of market-based fleet with purchasing twenty-five (25) vessels in
full ownership of different types and it is accompanied by selling the last six (6) old owned
vessels.

At CNAN MED LINER organization, the strategy is focused on custom products which are CNAN
MED-design through a full flexibility that can enhance the dedicated services. It’s always about
customers' satisfaction and anticipating their expectations.
The markets which were developed are secured upon reliable, effective and competitive direct
services towards Algeria. CNAN MED currently performs in a major Liner Services between the
main ports in the West Mediterranean (La Spezia, Marseille, Barcelona and Castellon).
CNAN MED Global Services pushes its operations beyond the convention area and deployed
their vessels in the Adriatic and East Mediterranean trade. Tramping Services is created to
prove growing market worldwide, not limited to usual ports of destination.
By serving West Mediterranean trade, CNAN MED vessels regularly call neighboring of the
largest ports in the area : Genoa, Livorno, FOS, and Valencia for which the Company is
committed to extend their services providing Feedering facilities.

Fleet
All the vessels deployed by CNAN MED can carry every kind of cargo on import and
export through fastest and safest means of transportation. In 2014, the Company
purchased one Multipurpose Lo/Lo Box-shaped vessel in full ownership. Short-term
vessel purchases forecasts may supply CNAN MED with three new vessels by the end
on the year 2015.

All vessels, different in tonnage and capacity, are mainly suitable for Containers,
Break-bulk, Special Equipment with excess weight/measurements and Heavy lift
cargo.
To compensate the lack of tonnage and response to the market expansion and
diversification of shipped cargo, the Company uses different types of vessels in a long
time charter period.
