The fundamental purpose of the event is to strengthen the academic space for the dissemination of researches in progress from current graduate students in International Relations and provide academic and intellectual exchanges between researchers and teachers of different institutions and regions from Brazil and abroad. The research field in International Relations is inherently multidisciplinary - despite its uniqueness traits - encompassing issues, methods and theoretical approaches from different areas. For this reason we invite graduate students who belong to other departments, but who are dedicated to the study of international relations, to reflect about the theme “Global Governance: transformations, dilemmas and perspectives”. Thus, we invite the interested researchers to submit papers in the following areas: I. Peace Studies, Defense and International Security. II. Foreign and International Politics Studies. III. International Political Economy and Regional Integration. IV. Studies about the United States. Proposals Proposals should be sent from May 4th to August 3rd 2015 by completing the ELECTRONIC FORM available on http://www.unesp.br/santiagodantassp and on http://blogaci.unesp.br/santiagodantas, according to the following requirements: a) Abstracts must have between 300 and 450 words. b) It must include: name of the applicant, title, institution and supervisor. c) The proposals must include title, introduction, methodology, possible results and conclusion, and up to five keywords. d) The applicant must indicate the subject area to which applies. However, the organization reserves the right to direct the work to other areas according to the need and the adequacy of the same theme. e) The proposals may be submitted in Portuguese, English or Spanish. f) The abstract language should be the same as the one used in the final work. Final Paper a) The disclosure of approved abstracts will be made on September 14th, exclusively on the internet. b) The final version of the paper should have a maximum of 25 pages with bibliography, typed in A4 format, Times New Roman or Arial 12, spacing 1.5 and margins 2.5 x 3.0 and should be sent to the email contato.simposiostd@gmail.com until October 5th 2015. c) The papers sent in a different language from what was presented in the approved abstract, will not be accepted by the Organizing Committee. d) Each presenter will have 15 minutes to expose the paper. e) In order to appear in the final program of the event, participants with selected works must confirm their presence by making the payment through bank deposit until October 13th 2015. Participants from outside Brazil, please contact the Organizing Committee for specific information about the payment. f) The delivery of certificates is conditional to the presentation of the paper. g) The presenters who cannot attend to the event, should justify their absence for up to 10 days in advance by the following e-mail: contato.simposiostd@gmail.com. The absence of the justification will automatically imply on the exclusion of possible proposals from the same applicant in the next Symposium. Subscriptions The registration will be conducted solely through http://www.unesp.br/santiagodantassp, by an online form. To be a presenter, it is necessary to be enrolled in a post-graduate studies program. The participation of undergraduate students will be accepted only in co-authoring condition of a work whose main author must be a graduate student. Registration will be confirmed only after the payment, which must be made and proven (by sending the deposit slip to the email contato.simposiostd@gmail.com) until October 13th 2015.
