Spring-loaded Probe Tips
Hybrid Technology
Spring-loaded probe tips reduce the chance of “skipping” the circuit even when probing at an angle. The
mechanical pressure that the user has to apply is reduced and therefore probe life is enhanced. PMK`s very
fine probe tips and adapters are usable down to 0.5
mm pitch when probing QFP IC`s.
PMK 2.5 mm miniature and 5 mm standard probes feature ceramic thin or thickfilm substrates. The resistors
are laser trimmed. This technology offers high bandwidth, fast risetimes and accurate impulse measurements. PMK Probes guarantee precise voltage stability
and reading accuracy as well as signal fidelity.

Reed switch allows switchable probes bandwidth
performance up to 350 MHz in 10:1 mode.
Our reed switches have a breakdown voltage
> 4.000 V. Another advantage is their life time with
over 500.000 switching cycles.

Compact Design
True Signal Acquisition on IC`s
The compact design with only 2.5 mm housing diameter at the probe
tip is ideal for measurements of SMT components. It provides a much
better visibility over the device under test as conventional 5 mm housing designs. A true PMK feature the exchangeable tip is also available for the PML series. The gold-plated spring tip or the solid tip are
only 0.5 mm in diameter. The tip replacement is easy and gives the
engineer the best choice.
Particulary for HF measurements on IC`s a short as possible ground
connection is recommendable. Due to long ground leads most conventional adaptions bring additional inductance and resonances into
the measurement which will result in false or inaccurate readings.
The innovative IC contacting system of the PML series with 5
different IC adapters from 0.5 to 1.27 mm pitch in combination with
the "Ground Blade" and IC ground copper pad is ideal for
shortcircuit-safe, reproducible and authentic measurements.
Low Input Capacitance
The standard 10:1 model with an input capacitance less than 9.5 pF
is most appropriate for measurements of HF signals where a too high
load of the measuring point can falsify the result and with particulary
sensitive SMT elements it can result in an "Overload". A system input
capacitance (oscilloscope and probe) of less than 5.6 pF is available
with the 20:1 model.

3D Probe Positioners
Stepless Adjustment
®
The PMK 3D Probe Positioners are infinitely adjustable. The mechanical clamping sytems make it possible to position the probe device
accurate and easily. The three joints of the 3D Probe Positioner can
be fixed and released with one single turn of the clamping system.
PMK´s 3D Probe Positioners offers you a great deal in efficiency in
your testing enviromnment.
Permanent Fixing
The precisely fitting in the balland-socket joint guarantees a
great static friction and stability.
Secure, stable Base
The three different models of the
positioners can be integrated
simply into your test environment. The 3D Probe Positioners
can be supplied alternatively
with a steel base, a table clamp
or a vacuum cup.
Universal 3-fold Holder
When probing and verifying hardware designs the strengths of the
3D Probe Positioniers come to bear. With the universal probe holder
PMK 2.5 mm and 5 mm probes, but also other test and near field
probes can be used. Ask for customized solutions, if the shown
models do not meet your requirements.
3-fold Holder
Steel Base - Secure Stand
The 1200 g heavy steel base with a diameter of 100 mm support
high stability. The two bores at the steel base allow a permanent fixation of the 3D Probe Positionier.

Vacuum Cup - Tough
The vacuum cup clings strongly and is well suitable for the use on all
non-porous and smooth surfaces. This base variant is fixed simply by
turning over the handle and it needs no compressed air or other
energy.

Table Clamp - Economically
The table clamp is the economically version for fixing the
3D Probe Positionier (clamping range up to 40 mm). The table clamp
is the ideal solution for installation of the 3D Positioner at table edges
and pipes and can be installed and used both horizontally and
vertically.

Variable Arrangement of the
Positioners by Magnet Feet
The 4D Boardtester is a perfect solution for hardware design and
electronic development work benches in applications like testing,
verifing, trouble-shooting and debugging of electronic circuits.
Boards with sizes up to 300 x 400 mm can be flex-clamped variable
with gliding tracks for board floating height of 160 mm.
PMK 3D Postioners with magnet feets can be placed from both sides
on the gliding tracks (from above and from below!). The 3D
Positioners allow contacting measuring points from various angles
over the whole work space. Supplied with the 4D Boardtester are
2 units of 3D Positioners with magent feets: one compact, very
flexible miniature positioner with a span width of 130 mm and a
magnet holding force of 170 N and our standard 3D positioner with a
span width of 200 mm and a magnet holding force of 300 N.

Our universal PMK 3-fold holder comes with both positioners. It is
applicable with all PMK 2.5 mm and 5 mm probes as well as other
test and near field probes.
