Mixed Termination
Up to 36 kV
Configuration, Features & Electrical Ratings
The idea beh ind this termination is to make the best use of the advantages available in different technologies
used in ccble termination.
First, the silicon rubber stress relief tube is factory tested ensuring maximum reliability and field performance.
In addition Silicon rubber is on elastic material allowing a wide range taking of cable sizes .
Second, the proven antitracking properties of the heat shrink technology, and the flexibility to adopt the tube
length according to the frock resistance and toil length requirements of the customer.
Finally, the creepage extenders (sheds) are either heat shrink or slip on .
The termination could be also supp lied with a co ld shrin k trifurcation boot and a cold shrink antitracking
tube .
Features
1. Wide cable range reduces inventory requirements.
2 . Excellent refractive stress management.
3 . Fast and easy installa tion without any special tools, a slip on device is
supplied with each kit for faster an d easier installation .
4 . Slim profile enables installation in narrow places (cubicl es)
5. Optionally tailored to exactly fit your needs.
6 . Excellent resista nce to weathering, UV and surface electrical activi ty.
7. Fits all sizes of cables up to 36kV, round and sector shaped .

Modular Terminators
Application
The Modular Terminators series are suitable for use with indoor and
outdoor terminations on single-core and three-core solid dielectric
cables conforming to the requiremen ts of IEEE Standard 48, IEC
60502-4 and CENElEC HD 629.1-51. Typical usesfor the Modular
Terminators would be on riser poles either at the substation or on
the distribution lines. The Madular Terminotors can also be used
on the switchgear and transformers. The Modular Terminators series
are designed for use on extruded dielectric cables, and can be
applied directly on cables with extruded semi-conductive shield.
The Modular Terminators series are designed for aluminum or
copper conductors with a d iameter range over the insulation of
12 .6 mm(0.495") to 50.2mm{l.975"). The Madular Terminators
kit comes complete with the appropriate components to connect,
ground ond seal the term inatio n.
Installation
The comprehensive instollation instructions will be supplied with
each kit describing the correct cable preparation. The termination
is a slip-on product which requires less time and labour skill to
install if compared to other types of terminations.
