Gifts from alumni, faculty, students, parents, and friends in honor of the founder of
Trinity's Rome Campus. Income is to be used for support of Trinity's Rome Campus
operations. Professor Campo was a member of the Trinity faculty and Modern
Language Department from 1952 to 1989. He was Director of the Caesare Barbieri
Endowment for Italian Studies for 30 years from 1959 to 1989. He was also Founder
and Director of Trinity's Rome Campus undergraduate study abroad program in
Rome, Italy, 1970 to 1989.

CENTENNIAL (1921)
Founded in commemoration of the One-Hundredth Anniversary of the College in
1923. Income to be used for the support of faculty salaries. Gifts and bequests from
alumni, trustees, and friends of the College were credited to this fund from 1921
through 1945, when it reached a total of $983,209. In 1949 the Trustees voted to
transfer $252,511 from this fund to the George E. Hoadley Fund to perpetuate the
bequest of Mr. Hoadley to the Centennial Fund.

Gifts of alumni, friends and associates of Professor Cooper on the occasion of his
retirement after a distinguished career at Trinity College. Dr. Cooper, a member of
the faculty since 1941, was named Northam Professor of History in 1964, and served
as History Department Chairman from 1964 until 1975. He served as Secretary of
the college for several years following his retirement in 1983. Income to be used at
the discretion of the History Department in recognition of Dr. Cooper’s special
interest.

information technology and bioengineering. All students are eligible to seek grants.

Gifts of Ann and Thomas S. Johnson, 1962, P'97, of New York, NY. Income is to be
used for the support of the Johnson Professorship which will not be restricted in use
for a specific program or department, and currently supports a professorship of
Biology. The selection and appointment of the Professorship shall be made by the
President of the College upon the recommendation of the Dean of Faculty. Johnson
Professors will continue their appointments at the pleasure of the President, although
the normal term for each Johnson Professor will be five years in length. There will be
no limits on the renewal of incumbent Johnson Professors. Mr. Johnson is a Trustee
Emeritus of the College. He served on the Board from 1983 to 1992 and again from
1996 to 2003 as its Chairman.

Gifts of Ann and Thomas S. Johnson, 1962, P'97, of New York, NY. Income is to be
used for the support of this second Johnson Professorship which will not be restricted
in use for a specific program or department. The selection and appointment of the
Professorship shall be made by the President of the College upon the
recommendation of the Dean of Faculty. Johnson Professors will continue their
appointments at the pleasure of the President, although the normal term for each
Johnson Professor will be five years in length. There will be no limits on the renewal
of incumbent Johnson Professors. Mr. Johnson is a Trustee Emeritus of the College.
He served on the Board from 1983 to 1992 and again from 1996 to 2003 as its
Chairman.

Gifts received from family and friends in memory of Scott Michael Johnson '97 of
New York, New York. Income was used at the discretion of the College from 2003
through June 2008. At the request of the Johnson Family, income is currently used
to support the College’s partnership with the Institute of International Education’s
Scholar Rescue Fund in order to bring to the College Visiting Scholars in Residence
who are foreign nationals whose academic and intellectual work has put his or her
career, liberty, and/or personal safety at hazard in his or her home country. Mr.
Scott M. Johnson lost his life in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on
September 11, 2001.

used to support a professorship in South Asian Studies. Mr. Kellner served as
Trustee of the College from 1992 to 2000 and from 2003 to 2011.
