MVCON
Description
The MVCON Isolating Signal Converter can accept a wide
range of inputs including 4-20mA, thermocouple, RTD and
voltage signals. The units produce a high level DC output of
either voltage or current.

Full 3-Port Isolation
The high level (HL) version can be factory configured to accept a
current, voltage or potentiometer input and provide a current or
voltage output. The Thermocouple (TC) version can be factory
configured to accept most thermocouple types and ranges and
provide a non-linearised output of current or voltage. The RTD
version can be factory configured to accept most types and ranges of
RTD (Pt100 Standard) and provide linearised output of current or
voltage.
Note: For input voltages greater than 30Vac or 60Vdc a divider unit
must be specified.

Types E, J, K, N, R, S, T, B non-linearised
Ranges 0-250, 0-500, 0-1200˚C (Others available)
Cold junction compensation
Upscale or downscale t/c burnout options
In addition a user configurable version of each type is available to
special request allowing several different input/output options to be
selected.
There is also an isolated transmitter supply option on the HL unit.
This provides an isolated 24Vdc supply which can be used to excite
any standard transmitter.
MVCONRTD for Resistance Thermometers
2 or 3 wire Pt100 or other linearised output
Ranges 0-250, 0-500, -100-100˚C (others available)
The unit may be powered from a wide range of power supplies,
ranging from 110Vac to 240Vac.

1: MVCON-HL does NOT provide safety isolation when the input is connected to the mains.
Device incorporates a non-resettable thermal cut-out in the mains input.
IMPORTANT: Mains input should be protected by a 100mA anti-surge fuse (T100mA) with a voltage rating of
250Vac and a breaking capacity of 35A at 250Vac placed in series with the live connector.
