fold itself neatly into the boot and 19 seconds to close again, at speeds up to 50 km/h.
The Cascada’s three-layer acoustic roof is a rare luxury option in this price category. Not only
does it keep you warm in winter, it also delivers soundproofing of exceptional quality, making motorway cruising as comfortable as an open-top drive through the country. The roof can be opened
and – crucially in changeable weather – closed remotely. It’s available in three attractive colours

hand-fitted Morrocana of the dashboard and optional self-ventilating

chassis technology to fully harness the advanced suspension system
that includes Watt’s linkage at the rear and the same high-performance

The Cascada is more than a first-class convertible for special occasions.
It’s ready for real life. It has the seats, storage and easy-entry design to
carry four adults and their luggage in comfort, so you can use it for business or pleasure, come rain or shine. At nearly 4,7 metres, it’s the longest
convertible in its class and it’s also one of the widest at 1,84 metres. The
boot measures an ample 380 litres with the roof closed and at the touch
of the FlexFold button you can extend that up to 750 litres (see page
30). Even with the roof open, you still have 280 litres of boot space.

HEADLIGHTS WITH
FORESIGHT.
As a Cascada owner, you have access to a comprehensive
range of sophisticated driver aids, such as the optional
intelligent Bi-Xenon Adaptive Forward Lighting Plus
(AFL+) headlight system. AFL+ makes driving at night less
stressful. Using a front-mounted camera, rain sensor and
steering angle input, it improves visibility and safety by
automatically adjusting the strength of your headlights
to different speeds, manoeuvres, weather conditions and
traffic situations.

1. Pedestrian Area Light. Highlights potential hazards with a wider
spread of light (an extra 8° left and right).
2. Town Light. Spreads the light wider and lower. Activated by vehicle
speed and street lighting.

3. Country Road Light. Wider and brighter than normal, for a 70-metre
dazzle-free beam.
4. Highway Light. Raises, brightens and extends the beam to 140 metres – without blinding other drivers.

5. Adverse Weather Light. Activated by wipers or a rain sensor, this
setting improves vision in wet weather.
6. High Beam with Assist (HBA). HBA automatically dips your headlights when it detects other vehicles ahead and switches back to high
beam when the road is clear. Alternatively, Increased High Beam
boosts the range and brightness of your headlights by up to 15 %
when they’re not dipped.
7. Dynamic Curve Light. The headlights turn into the curve by up to
15°. Activated by steering angle and speed.
8. Static Cornering Light. Throws light 90° to the left or right so you
can see better what’s around the corner.

1. Reinforced chassis and safety cage. Safety is the number one priority
in every car we produce and our convertibles are no exception. At the
wheel of a Cascada, the build quality and roadholding fill you with confidence, a welcome feeling that comes from substantial safety features.
A lattice of steel bars criss-crosses the chassis to enhance overall body
and torsion stiffness while tubular-steel pillar reinforcement gives the
front section extra rigidity. In combination with the Cascada’s highstrength steel passenger cell, these features help eliminate rattles or
creaks as well as enhancing safety and steering response.
Every Cascada driver benefits from a reassuring array of German-engineered passenger protection technologies, from front and side airbags to the reinforced steel windscreen pillars and the
pop-up roll bar system.
2. High-strength pop-up roll bars. One of the most important safety features in the Cascada is one you’re extremely unlikely ever to see: the
steel roll bars anchored securely in the safety cage directly behind the
rear seats. Should your convertible roll over, the bars react instantaneously. They shoot upwards to help shield you and your passengers from
preventable impacts.

Active safety features on the Cascada Trim Line. In addition to the

EXTRA SENSORS. ADDED SENSE.
Owning the Cascada is all about relaxation – you enjoy the ride and leave the rest to your assistants. Like the classleading Opel Eye system, an optional camera-based driver aid that makes driving safer, and even more comfortable.
1. Traffic Sign Assistant II (TSA, via Opel Eye). TSA monitors road signs
to make sure you’re aware of the speed limit and other restrictions all
the time, even when temporary signs are put up. This new and enhanced
version of TSA can read more signs in more countries than ever before,
including electronic signs over motorways.
2. Lane Departure Warning (LDW, via Opel Eye). LDW gives you a warning if you start drifting unintentionally out of your lane. Crossing the line
without signalling is enough to activate the system and trigger acoustic
and visual alarms. You can switch off LDW to suit the driving conditions.

3. Forward Collision Alert (FCA) and Following Distance Indication
(FDI). If you approach slower-moving vehicles too fast at speeds above
40 km/h, FCA automatically triggers visual and audible warnings. FDI uses a sensor to calculate the distance to the vehicle ahead (displayed in
seconds) so you can slow down if need be.
4. Side Blind Spot Alert (SBSA). SBSA uses sensors to monitor parts of
the road you can’t see and flash a warning on the relevant side mirror if

1. Navi 900 Europe. This top-of-the-range navigation system leaves no
room for wrong turns. It gives you all the convenience of hands-free
Voice Control, plus bird’s eye maps on a 7-inch (17 cm) high-resolution

2. Steering wheel-mounted remote controls. If you connect your smartphone or MP3 player to your Cascada’s sound system or sat nav via optional USB, you can use controls mounted directly on the steering wheel

the aluminium bezel and leather-wrapped grip of the wheel and are

New Vehicle Warranty. 2-year new vehicle warranty. This warranty applies to any new Opel
car for a period of 24 months without any mileage restrictions, as from the day on which it
was either registered for the first time or delivered to the customer by the dealer, depending
on which date comes first.
Extended Vehicle Warranty. This repair cost
insurance enables you to extend the warranty
on your new vehicle to a maximum of 10 years.
12-year Anti-Perforation Warranty. Opel provides you with a reliable long-term warranty
against perforation, provided you have your
vehicle serviced and all necessary inspections
performed according to the service booklet.
3-year Warranty for Opel Batteries. With a
3-year warranty for service-installed Opel original batteries your starting problems are over
– even in the coldest winter.
