Grants, Work-study, and Loans…Oh My!

Join us for an interactive presentation lead by Senior Associate Director of Student
Financial Services, Mr. Scott Miller. We will walk through sample financial aid packages
and discuss what they mean and how they work. School year budgeting will also be
covered. There will be lots of time for Q & A, and there will be free dinner as well. Bring
your laptop if you choose, and follow along.

IM-Rec Sports Hiring for Fall 2011
IM-Rec Sports is now hiring for the fall semester. Jobs include intramural officials,
instructors for youth and adult programs, information systems assistant, desktop
publishing and graphic design assistant, and photographer. Job descriptions and
applications can be found here.
Free R.O.S.E Program School Supplies
Monday through Friday, 8am to 3pm, UVa Recycling Warehouse
Why buy school supplies when you can get them for free? Come check out the Reusable
Office Supplies Exchange at the UVa Recycling Warehouse at the end of Leake Drive.
They have tons of free stuff, including binders, ink cartridges, bulletin boards, and more.
Spread the word! Check them out online for more details.
Register for CAVLink!
CAVLink is a great resource for finding jobs, internships, and work-study positions OnGrounds. Register for an account today! You can create a profile and upload your
resume. Once you’ve completed these steps, applying for jobs is easy! Don’t forget that
University Career Services offers help with resumes!

facilities on Grounds to learn more
about the services and
opportunities available to
you. Whether you are interested in
individual workouts, personal
training, massage, group
recreation instruction or group
competition through intramurals,
you name it - Intramural
Recreational Sports has what you
need! Stop by the Aquatic and
Fitness Center, Memorial Gym,
Slaughter Rec Center, or North
Grounds Rec Center for more

are already an IM-Rec Sport
member, so you can sign-up for
fitness and recreation

The National Endowment
for Financial Education
(NEFE) has developed a
website for college students
and recent graduates called
the Cash Course that
contains comprehensive,
non-commercial information
so that your financial
decisions will be informed
ones. Topics include
financial basics, paying for
college, college life and the
world of work.
