GRID CONNECTED SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC ROOF TOP INSTALLATIONS [SPIN ]
SPIN - is an online system developed to monitor the installations of Solar
Photovoltaic Systems of grid connected rooftop. Through this online system
it is proposed to do all monitoring works related to SPV installations. By
considering the importance of the project and the target fixed by the Govt.
of India, a new website has been registered for the grid connected rooftop
namely solarrooftop.gov.in. So in order to access the system you may type
http://solarrooftop.gov.in in the browser and no need to go through
http://mnre.gov.in.
You can see a login icon at the top right corner and by clicking it you can
login with the registered user id and password. Once you login the following
screen will come.

regularly to know the regular updates from MNRE.
Interest Requests
Through this option you will get a list where the different people from your
state entered the interest for installing the system. You may contact this
people and update the remarks and proceed installation.
Total Customers Contacted
It shows the list of companies and how much customers they contacted from
the interest request received in their dashboard.
Details of customers contacted by Agencies
It will give a list of companies and how many customers they contacted for a
particular range of date given by you.
Details of Installation
It will give a simple list of installations where you entered the Project
Completion Report (PCR).

Details of Installation By Pvt. Agencies in your state
It will give a list of installations by Pvt. Agencies in your state. These are
non-subsidized entries made by the agencies.
Approved Proposals
It will give the list of proposals approved from MNRE. So you have to enter
the installation details of these sanctions through the PCR entry.

Change Password By using this option you can change your
password.
Edit Profile By using this option you can update the contact details
of your officer and office.
Agency Entry / Edit form. This option is used to enter the details
of agencies which are specific to your office and not available in the
SPIN for PCR entry. Care should be taken while entering here as
there should not be any duplicate entry. Before entry check the
availability of name in the PCR entry option.

Upload Documents
Once you correctly entered the proposal you have to download the
proposal which is a single page PDF document. It is to be printed and sign
it, scan and then upload it here. Similarly a covering letter of your own is
to be uploaded by using the option given. It is mandatory. The approval
in the MNRE will start only after getting the signed copy and covering
letter.
Final Submission
Once you upload everything as above and then you may click this option
so that your proposal will be forwarded to MNRE for processing. After
clicking this option you cannot modify any of the entries. Before clicking
the entry you can make any changes. Once you change anything don’t
forget to download the proposal and upload the signed one.
PCR [Project Completion Report]
Once the projects are completed you have to enter the completion report
for each project and upload the required documents. You have to enter

Customer If a customer is already available in SPIN ie. by entering
Code information the interest of installation through [Installation Interest
Request] then you need to enter the customer code or
mobile number of the customer so that all the available
details will be displayed by the computer and no need to
enter it again. If it is not there just ignore
