Also, be advised that the rate calculator for Options and Options Plus is now discontinued. New Elements Transfer Waiver We realise there is a lot to consider when transferring a client to Elements by Medavie Blue Cross. In an effort to help you and your clients assess the potential risks involved in transferring products, we’ve created a transfer waiver. This waiver is optional and is there to serve as a documented confirmation that you have discussed potential transfer consequences with your clients. In addition, we have added two changes to the Elements Transfer Form we hope will serve as reminders to: 1. Discuss potential coverage differences between Elements and the client’s current plan. 2. Select the Assured Access Module if the clients wish to carry forth any future insurability protection. Please find attached both new documents. Transfer Waiver FORM-919E.pdf Transfer-FORM-890E Sept-15.pdf Update: Digital Explanation of Benefits (EOB) In June, we communicated a delay in the Digital Explanation of Benefits project. We are pleased to report the project is back on track. We will discontinue the mailing of paper EOBs in November to members setup with direct deposit. A communication to Individual members with direct deposit is scheduled for the week of October 19th. Members have been able to access to EOB in a digital format since May 2015.
