United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County Corporate & Group Volunteer Opportunities Volunteer opportunities are rewarding and fun for your employees, organization, family and friends. UCP-OC’s opportunities are great for team building while filling a vital need at our organization. Please keep reading to see how you can make a difference! Therapy Holiday Party: Host a party for one of UCP-OC’s small therapy groups (children ages 2-5). Provide food and a seasonal craft activity to help stimulate language, communication and development through play in a small group setting (3-10 children per group). This opportunity is offered all year long and is coordinated with the therapy team. Fundraise: Hold a “Jeans Day” at your office, corporate car wash, or even dedicate your birthday or special event to UCP-OC by encouraging friends to make a donation in lieu of gifts. Money raised can help purchase recreation supplies, therapy equipment and much more, ultimately creating a Life Without Limits for children with disabilities! Special Events: We can always use extra hands and hearts during the planning and execution of special fundraising events (such as our Life Without Limits Gala and Autumn Classic Golf Tournament), Bike Camp or Fitness Event. We have a variety of tasks appropriate for all skill levels, physical abilities and interests. Administration: You can help us accomplish vital tasks necessary to keep programs and facilities running smoothly, such as filing, stuffing envelopes, or making thank you phone calls. By offering your clerical, technical, or operational support you will be making a tremendous impact at our organization. Plan an Out of Center Family Event: Host and facilitate an event such as bowling, art day or day at Pretend City for our children and families. Supply Drive: Help keep UCP-OC and our children well supplied! Coordinate seasonal supply drives, Holiday Adopt a Family Drive or Out-for-Summer kit. You can even add a personal touch by creating your own Care Kit filled with essentials welcoming a special needs family to UCP-OC. (Some Items may include: arts & craft supplies, snacks, cleaning supplies, games, etc) World CP Challenge: Get your friends, family and co-workers involved in this 4 week health and wellness challenge and make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities. In teams of 4 challenge yourself to 10,000 steps a day from September 3, 2014- October 1, 2014. www.worldcpchallenge.org/ucpoc After-School Activities: Paint with a special needs teen in our Art & Drawing class, volunteer at our Gymnastics or Fit Friends class, or play a game with a teen at the very popular Friday Night Club.
