LED DRIVER SELECTION :
The module uses 6 LEDs in a series circuit and requires a constant current LED driver capable of supplying the
required current across the working voltage range of the LEDs.
For voltage range and other electrical characteristics see the min/max ratings table on page 5.
Please take care to observe the correct polarity, maximum current and voltage specifications to avoid possible
damage to the module.

Lumen maintenance data is provide by Cree for the XM-L type LED as used in the module. This testing is
completed according to IES-LM-80.
Thermal testing of all drive currents listed in this specification (up to 1400mA) shows full compliance of the
module with the maximum published LED lifetime ratings :

Extended testing results available with a data set size less than 25 units each provides an L70 lifetime of >72,600 hrs for drive
currents less than 1500mA and junction temperature less than 105 deg C.

Heatsink temperatures are for reference only and will be affected by temperature and flow of the surrounding air.
Results shown in table 3.0 are measured during operation in free air at 22 deg C.
To ensure specified LED lumen maintenance is achieved, heatsink temperature is to be measured in the final
installed condition and the specified maximum operating case temperature (see table 3.1) should not be exceeded.
Heatsink case temperatures are measured at the reference point shown in section 4.0 overleaf.
All thermal test data applies to version 35957 (with heatsink) only. Version 35934 is not suitable for use without an
additional heatsink fitted and thermal results will depend on performance of that system.
