VENTURING CREW

Think you have what it takes to write an original play?

Direct a comedy? Maybe you want to sharpen your audition skills to land that role you’ve always wanted, or maybe you just want to hang out with some friends and watch plays. For all of this and so much more, become a part of the new Venturing program at The Clemson Little

Theatre. CLT’s new Venturing Crew is for youth ages

14 through 20 who are looking for a way to become more involved in theatre in our area, whether you just enjoy watching plays or want to pursue a career in live theatre, this is the place for you.

Venturing is a youth run program that allows the participants to select the activities and adventures they want to participate in. Want to learn to write a play? We will invite accomplished playwrights to work with those interested to complete their own original scripts. We will bring in experts in many fields to work with Crew members to explore their interests. Activities can include trips to area theatres to see shows, backstage tours, designing scenery or costumes or lights for CLT productions, maybe even a trip to New York to see shows on Broadway.

The only limits are the ones you put on yourselves.

We are currently in the organizational phase for this new program and hope to have our first open house very soon. If you are interested in being a part of our Crew, please contact Linda Lavold at the theatre office and she will get you on our contact list or for more information.

Call 864-646-8100 or email: CLTplays@gmail.com

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AND APPRECIATED!

If you have ever wanted to be part of a fun and exciting organization, then this is it! Spend some time with us as an usher for a show or help set up refreshments. There is a need for people to help build sets, organize the prop area and costume room--all with other great folks that will soon become friends! Absolutely no experience needed. We would love you to join our growing family!

Meet Our Fall Semester Intern

Ms. Rachel Andrews

Rachel is excited to join Clemson

Little Theatre this semester as an intern. A junior communication student at Clemson University, you may recognize Rachel from last spring's Carrie the Musical where she played Carrie White.

Rachel is excited to see what CLT has in store this season and for being a part of the behind the scenes magic.

Clemson Little Theatre’s Unsung Hero

Mr. Barry Richards

Barry has been attached to CLT since 1998. He has served as Board of Directors’ President twice, and is the “Lead

Dog” of the Publicity and the “Master of the Spreadsheets” for our yearly Advertising Campaign.

You can find Barry building sets, and tidying up around the theatre.

He and his wife Kay tend the Box

Office at least once each show. And he enjoys being on stage; you will see him as Grandpa in the current show, You Can’t Take it With You.

Thanks, Barry, for all you do!
